  1. Dude ............ thats' a lot of typing there ignorant of the basic ..... "ifs" - "buts" - "coulda" - "woulda" - "mighta" ..... thats usually able to be applied to both teams. At the same time ... in simple terms ... the Giants fans on here are maybe getting a little ahead of themselves when the fact remains that this win was FAR from a domination. Relax folks. .

    NE vs NY

Yeah ...... you guys talk big about your wives and their "issues" ...... but you're probably looking over your shoulder as you're typing. Right ? I thought so. .
  3. It's not that difficult to evaluate the differences in the two teams when you apply the critical strengths required to excel in becoming the SB Champion. If you have a pressuring Def ... which the Giants have ... and couple it with a power running game ... which the Giants have ... you are SB material. If you don't have either of these critical stengths ... which the Patriots do not ... your going to struggle to "FINISH" the game ... Pats couldn't finish NYG in the 4th Q when they needed to. Game Set Match .

We'll just have to wait and see which one of those listed in the first Qtr and second Qtr end up being the very 1st ad between the ending gun of the first Qtr and the starting gun of the second Qtr. .
  5. Even tho I picked the G Men to win on another thread ... NYG = better Def = more turnovers = SB win ... I still am a little surprised that they are even in the Big Show. Taking out the Giant's first and second meetings with Dallas ( NYG just seems to have the Cowboy's number ) their final stretch was 5-1 with a win over NYJ who were obviously floundering. Sure doesn't seem like a team with the consistency to be in the position to grab the ring(?). .
  6. I'll go with the Def that is likely to produce more turnovers ...... Giants = better Def = more turnovers = SB win ....... how's that for a formula? .

Among family and friends we put together a few prop wagers that besides the game itself included ............... "The first TV ad grouping that hits the commercial break at the end of the first Qtr." .... with typical selections .... soda, snackfood, insurance, car mfg, pickup mfg, beer, job search, candy, fast food, pizza, wall street trading, movie/TV trailers and ... with a focus on us older guys in the SB man caves ... male enhancement. "Bonus wagers" to those who select the actual company name or brand. "Tie breaker" (for this prop as well as some of the actual game picks) .... the closest number of minutes and seconds (without going over) that Madonna will actually be singing at the Halftime Show. I picked: a "car mfg" (been more of these in the last few SBs) with the selection of Chevy as the "bonus". ...... and Madonaa will keep her trap open: 12 min and15 sec. Your thoughts ? .
  8. Along with the 22 sacks, Allen had solid top 5 or better numbers in forced fumbles, fumble recoveries and knocked down passes along with pretty solid tackle numbers for a non-linebacker position. It could be that the influencing number he couldn't do much about was ... 3 - 13. .
  9. I guess this is what drew me back into the Huddle Forum after a little hiatus .................. a guy tries to cover his topic (boring) ...... gets a couple of responses ........ and then spends two and a half pages trying to defend his wearing of tights ...... oh yeah ...... "Leggings". Priceless. I'm laughing too hard to finish my morning coffee .... and that is coffee not latté. .
  10. My point is .... "NFL thinks highly" = Fantasy Football attracts ..................... and your point = money (of which I agree). .
  11. Regardless of what you think of the game itself ... you have to admit that it's great to know that the NFL thinks so highly of Fantasy Football that they are using it as their main vehicle to create a broader base of veiwers. It may or may not work but, their intensions speak highly of our passion. .
  12. Manning probably can influence a fair amount of his football playing future ............... but he can't dictate his health. .
  13. Nary a word on one who would have been on this list a yr ago ... Dallas Clark ... oh, how quickly they can fade. .
  14. They have a hole there whether Cook is there or not ... first of all, he hasn't set the world on fire (maybe his girlfriends appartment tho) ... Griffen seems to have lost his former playmaking abilites after his second knee surgery ... Winfield is 35, I believe, and def lost a step this past yr even tho he's the best they put on the field this past yr IMO ... Asher Allen hasn't really steped up after 4 yrs ... Benny Sapp was brought back this past season after he was cut by the Fins(up & down yr) ... showing some promise is the 2nd yr kid, Marcus Scherels, who also returns kicks. Safetys ... Tyrell Johnson , Sanford and Abdullua (has to "fast" for Ramsdan in Sept ??) all have big ??? marks because of their inconsistencies. The Purple gang hasn't had a strong group of D'backs for some time ... but this group really disappoints. .
  15. As the Viking HC he wasted 3 or 4 yrs that they'll never get back again. .
