  1. My only reservation Commish on going all in is this league has members with varying amounts of experience. What are your thoughts if we drafted 3 DL 3LB 3DB and we started one from each position and two flex? Here is our scoring... ATK - 1pt for every 2 BFG - 6 BFGTD - 6 BP- 6 BPTD - 6 DFR - 2 DFRTD - 6 BXP - 6 TD - 6 FF - 4 INT - 6 PDEF - 1 Sack - 4 with a 5pt bonus at 2 10pt bonus at 4 Safety - 10 Tackle - 1pt with a 5 pt bonus at 10
  2. KP you are saying draft 3 at each spot and start two from each postition?
  3. I currently run a 12 team keeper league. The owners have voted to move to an IDP system and I am looking for some advice on the best format to use. Right now the talk is to have every team draft 6 defensive players (2 LB 2 DB 2 DL) and start one from each position. Do you also need to draft ST? What is the best way to set up the scoring? Having never played in an IDP league before I have to say I am flying blind right now. Any help would be much appreciated.
  4. Just like a falcons fan to only hear what they wanna hear. I agree that a standard system is not the best route to go when starting a league hence this post in the first place. Thanks for your advice though.
  5. I have been in a keeper league going on six years now that uses a standard 1-12 draft system and it is completly viable. That is what this new league will go to also next year. I just need to figure out what is the best system to start a league with, sounds like snake is the way to go as much as I hate it.
  6. Friends and I are starting a 10 team keeper league this year. We had planned on picking draft order out of a hat and using a standard non snake format to draft. A few owners believe a snake draft for this first year only will even the playing field. Can you guys help me out on this is a snake the best way to start the league or is a standard format just as good. Really dislike snake format but want the league to get off on the right foot. Thanks.
  7. Gore all day long. I have had Gore on my keeper team for three straight years now, this being the first I have not kept him. Just know the risk of injury, make sure you prepare accordingly.
  8. Sorry about that 1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 2 TE 1 RB/WR/TE 1 D 1 K
  9. I am in a 12 team PPR keeper league 6 pts TD and pick second. We start 1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 2 TE 1 RB/WR/TE We keep three players and I have kept Chris Johnson, Darren Mcfadden and Fitz. My question is I know there will be a run on backs and wonder if I should grab one before the run or go a WR like a Vincent Jackson, Mike Williams, or Desean Jackson. The best backs on the board are Matt Forte, Frank Gore, Jahvid Best, Blount. Also Michael Vick is there, would you think about going Vick and then hope that Mike Williams or Vincent Jackson are still on the board in round two. (Non snake draft and I pick 1st the rest of the way.) Thanks for the thoughts
  10. As a Bucs fan I obviously read up on the Bucs a lot. It has been stated many times that Blount's pass blocking has improved and he could see more third down work. You know i'm sure how the P.R. departments work but just wanted to throw it out there. I think either way you go you should be in good shape.
  11. Thats correct there is no cost. That is how I am leaning also just not sold on McFadden but with the trade rules in place it is near impossible to move him. I pick second if I were to keep those three would you look RB or WR with the pick? Thanks for help
  12. Twelve team PPR keeper league. I can keep three but only two from one position Chris Johnson Darren Mcfadden Legarette Blount Frank Gore Larry Fitzgerald Josh Freeman Vernon Davis Thanks for the help
  13. In the keeper league I am in we are allowed to keep three players but only two from one position. Meaning you can't keep three RB. Our deadline to designate is August 1 althought this year we have moved it back a week because of the FA madness. Our system works like a champ and couldn't be happier with it. It does however make it very challenging which I think is great. We use to franchise two players, I believe three is better, just my opinion though. Hope it helps.
  14. I am in a twelve team keeper league in which each team keeps three players (only two can be from one position. ex; 2 RB 1 WR). We have a franchise deadline of August 1 by which each owner has to designate his three players. As our rules state now we cannot trade any players until after this deadline and if we trade a franchised player for a draft pick that draft pick has to be used as one of our keeper spots. I am of the opinion that this is a rule that needs to be changed to allow for trading players prior to the franchise deadline. For example if I had Frank Gore, Jamaal Charles, and Ray Rice and wanted to move one before the franchise deadline for a pick I could do that and then still keep three players along with my pick. The commish and co-commish believe that this would create a "pandora's box" of people moving players they had no intention of franchising in the first place to load up on picks. My question(s) are this... 1. Is the rule that is in place as it stands a fairly typical keeper league rule. 2. If the rule is different in your keeper league how is it set up and do you have pros and cons to it. Thanks for the help
