  1. Obviously, the Bengals were the worst team in the playoffs this year. 10 points? Really?? I wonder if Jay Gruden was talking to Dalton on the sidelines, asking him WTF he was running out of the pocket every other play. Methinks that Gruden's appeal as a "hot Head Coaching Candidate" just took a hit. Dalton was God-awful.
  2. Yeah, well....good luck with that.
  3. So, if Reid is so great, at what point did he turn to the defensive coordinator and say, "Hey man, is there anything we can do about that Hilton guy? Maybe doubleteam him? Perhaps bump him at the line to knock off his timing? Anything?" Hilton was allowed to roam FREE AND CLEAR through the KC defense with NOBODY riding him. Even backup cornerbacks could have at least bracketed him. I put this loss on coaching, plain and simple.
  4. Matt Forte is probably worth that contract. Dude can ball.
  5. Hey Big John, I've been out of the loop for awhile..just saw this post. Hope things are going your way up in Cheeseland.
  6. And Foster in for a short td. Well, the Texans have a little fight left in them apparently.
  7. So it's 28-0. Yawn. Do the Texans justgo plain vanilla now and not show any more of their playbook, with a good chance of meeting the pats again in the playoffs? Edit: If the first half was indicative of their playbook................they need a new playbook obviously.
  8. It was good, but a bit long for my taste. I'd give it 3 stars.
  9. Has anyone been following the story this week of how Phil Simms was trashing Eli, and saying that he is not an elite quarterback? What is wrong with this guy? I used to think he was a great analyst and announcer, but in the last few years he comes off as a bitter, grumpy old man yelling at the kids to get off his lawn. Eli may not be top five (or he may, depending on the week), but he's the best qb the Giants have had in 25 years, that's for sure. Suck it Phil.
  10. I rarely post any more, but when I do, I like to offer up thought provoking nuggets such as these: 1. Does anyone think having a game played in London is a good idea? Is it ever a decent game? I don't think so. 2. Matt Stafford looks idiotic wearing his hat backwards. Grow up dude. 3. The Jets are still the same old Jets. It's comforting, in a way. 4. I think the Cowboys may end up looking for a new coach next year. That team is way too inconsistent. 5. Russell Wilson is easy to root for. That guy just makes plays, and seems to be a great guy to boot. Great touch on his passes. 6. Mike Vick's best days are behind him. Time to move on Eagles. 7. Cam Newton has very poor accuracy on his short to intermediate passes. What the hell happened to that guy from last year? 8. Finally, I really, really love the RedZone channel. It is the best idea since instant replay. :-) 8a. Also, I really hope hurricane Sandy holds off until after the Broncos/Saints game tonight. Don't want the power to go out.
  11. As a Donkeys fan, this has been completely demoralizing. Same old crap. Any team that has a qb with a moderate amount of talent should be able to move their team at will against this soft and slow defense in Denver. Danny freaking Woodhead converts on a 3rd and 17 RUN?? That's all you need to know right there. I see only 4 more wins for this team the rest of the season (KC, San Diego, Buccaneers and Browns). I don't think they can beat the Saints, Bengals, Ravens, and they lose to the Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders as a matter of course.
  12. It doesn't really matter if we watch or don't watch. The NFL has already been paid for the TV contract, and the sponsors won't bail out. It's too good of a deal. A slight dip in the ratings won't mean anything to those fat cats. I would like to see the PLAYERS strike, and tell the NFL that they won't play until they settle the thing with the refs. Then there really wouldn't be any football to watch.
  13. Nice job Dad! Give yourself a well deserved pat on the back.
  14. By continuing to ask for the pension plan, the NFLRA will shoot itself in the foot and they will all lose their 80-100K per year PART TIME JOBS. We should just stop calling them the replacement refs and now refer to them simply as , the NEW refs.
