So...about this fleecing business. I do think the Bears GM misplayed this - maybe badly. But there is some silver lining value in showing the Bears fans who say "keep Fields and trade the #1 pick" that Fields' perception in the league was nowhere close to what their's was. So it makes picking Caleb look like the better choice. They get to show the fans what other NFL teams thought of Fields. Still think the Bears should've made a deal before the secondary QB market started to heat up, but this is not all downside for them.

Hopefully that head office job is not as GM....track record there is, well, suboptimal.

Carr is gonna follow the Jimmy G example and come out of this just fine. Even though he's not an elite QB, IMO, is he certainly way more than serviceable. There will be a strong market for him and he's not that old, either.

With the chances that Pollard may not play, and Ekeler may not play, who do you like more as a waiver pickup: Malik Davis or Joshua Kelley? I could see Cowboys resting starters and Malik getting 2nd half work at a minimum. Dallas is so favored here. OTOH, Joshua Kelley would have the backfield all to himself. Whaddya' think?
