  1. Thanks for the insight. The other team has Eric Decker, Garcon, and Randle as their starting WRs after just losing Julio. If I added Harry Douglas or Greg Jennings to the deal and could get Decker back, would that make it better in your opinion? Already owning Manning, D Thomas, and Julius Thomas, adding Decker would give me almost all of the broncos passing offense. (save welker) Obviously that would backfire if Peyton has a bad day, but it doesn't appear that he's really capable of that right now.
  2. What do you think of trading Chris Johnson + Antonio Brown for Ray Rice? My other WRs are D. Thomas, Stevie Johnson, Greg Jennings, Harry Douglas. RBs are David Wilson, Andre Ellington, Ben Tate and Brandon Bolden. Its a QB heavy league and I'm sitting at 4-1 due to the combo of Manning + D. Thomas and/or Julius Thomas going off every week. Maybe I shouldn't try to fix what isn't broken? CJ2k isn't getting into the endzone so a solid producer at RB would be nice. Rice has been hurt a lot and Antonio Brown has been pretty good so I worry that I'd be overpaying.
  3. Trade advice... I was offered Manning + Mathews for AP + Romo. Obviously not accepting that, but would you counter offer Romo + AP for Manning and D. Thomas? Its a standard 3 WR, 2 RB league. Currently have Fitz, stevie johnson, A. Brown, Colston and Jennings along with Chris Johnson and Sproles, Tate and R. Jennings as my other backs.
  4. Anyone else have advice on this one?
  5. Guy in my league proposed AP + Romo for Manning + Ryan Mathews. Obviously I'm turning that down, but would guy counter or just sit tight? Here's my starting roster... QB- Romo WR- Fitzgerald WR- A Brown WR- Stevie Johnson RB- AP RB- Chris Johnson TE-Jared Cook B- Sproles, Tate, Colston, Greg Jennings. Other guy has the follow pieces I would want, Peyton, Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, Demaryious Thomas. Can you guy see a realistic deal that would make sense? How about AP + Romo for Manning and Damaryious Thomas?
  6. Tough call. I'd go Wilson because he has more upside IF he doesn't choke and fumble again.
  7. I would def grab Palmer out of that group. With the cards new offense, Palmer could end up outproducing Brady if the Pats offense doesn't start to gel soon.
  8. For this week, the Huddle certainly liked Smith and Edelman a lot more than Colston in the projections. (14 and 13 points vs 4 for Colston) Yahoo pro league so we start 3 WRs and no flex. My other WRs are Antonio Brown, Mike Williams, Lance Moore, Vincent Brown. I'm leaning towards turning it down since Colston is a safe bet to be solid in the long run, but this is my weakest team at WR so maybe a move is in order.
  9. I haven't been on the board in a couple of days so I didn't realize he had been banned. Wouldn't have started this thread if I had known that.
  10. Haha, yes, you can definitely make fun of me for that. I typed one thing and then edited and failed to change "drafted" to "drafting." Its odd that you can edit a post, but it won't let you edit your topic headline as far as I could tell.
  11. I didn't see the thread with all the guys axe has been wrong about. My bad.
  12. It was 2 weeks ago and didn't realize threads that old were still on the board.
  13. Wow, this guy is a disaster. Glad I only have him on 1 team and I took him in the middle rounds before the Brown injury.
  14. ...just one of many brilliant calls by the huddle's most gifted prognosticator.
  15. Thanks a lot for the post. Some great rules to live by there.
  16. $2k is the buy in? And you drafted a guy with a broken leg in the 6th round?
  17. Sorry, haven't been back to the board since I replied yesterday. I would have taken Charles at #5, but I agree on McCoy having a chance to be really great in the Oregon offense. I agree on your rational for Forte. In that offense, he should have his best year of his career *if* he stays healthy.
  18. I don't like McCoy at #5 overall, but your team is still extremely good. How on earth was Roddy White still available in the 5th?
  19. Who was available at #4 when you took Spiller? He's a great player, but at #4 overall I would prefer to have someone who has some track record of elite production. Spiller has never had the # of touches they are going to try and get him this year and he's already said he has doubts about being able to carry it that many times. If he stays healthy though, you should be in awesome shape because Forte in the 2nd round at #20 was a great value. Marshall and Bowe were also great picks where you got them. Overall, looks like a team that can definitely contend if Spiller lives up to his pre season projections.
  20. Brown v Woodhead is a tough call. He could be a monster if Mccoy gets hurt again, but then again, since its PPR, Woodhead could have some value. Since its a late round deal, I would go with the higher upside which would be Brown, imo. I've been surprised that so many McCoy owners aren't bothering to handcuff him. The feature back in that offense is going to put up really big numbers so you'd think they'd want some insurance. I like your team as long as Spiller stays healthy. In the first round, I guess I would rather go with proven commodities whenever possible. Spiller hasn't proven that he can handle the kind of load he will need to justify his current ADP. He's even expressed doubt about being able to carry the ball significantly more than he has in the past. If he stays healthy, he should obviously be great.
  21. Just finished my last draft. Yahoo pro league (ie standard settings, 2rb, 3wr starting) 1-1 AP 2-10 CJ2k (thought about going WR/WR with these 2 picks, but Thomas went 1 pick before so I went with the top back left on my board) 3-1 Fitz 4-10 Colston 5-1 Antonio Brown -ended up with him on most of my teams this year. Have him at WR2 in 1 league so really like him here as WR3. Fingers crossed he steps up as the #1 guy in Pitt... 6-10 -Romo (thought about rolling the dice to see if he'd still be around in the 8th round, but he was my target coming in so I decided not to risk it since I didn't like any of the remaining QBs... 7-1 Sproles - Obviously not PPR, but he has a significantly higher projection of the backs left at this point... 8-10-Greg Jennings 9-1 Steven Johnson 10-10 Vincent Brown 11-1 Ben Tate - Trade bait to foster owner, lotto pick. 12-10 Jared Cook 13-1 Bryce Brown -trade bait to mccoy owner, lotto pick. 14-Ceveland 15 Henery Only guy I really wanted who was snagged right before I selected was D. Thomas in the 2nd. In other drafts I've had my target(s) snagged repeatedly right before my pick so that was a nice change. Thanks in advance. Post a link and I'll give you my most non expert opinion on your roster/question.
  22. He caught 74 balls for close to 1k yards last year and he doesn't have any injury problems from what I have read. My guess would be he gets picked up eventually. He's a cancer in the locker room, but he's also only 3 years removed from a 1500 yard receiving season.
  23. Why do you think it means that you know a lot about football if you use the rankings from numerous sites? If you know so much on your own, then you really shouldn't need to use anyone else rankings. Those of us in the real world don't have time to do all the research on our own so we pay for a subscription to a site that does that for us. I think you are much better off picking one site you trust and then rolling with those. If you try to use numerous sets of rankings, with as you said, a wide variation on key players, you don't really gain anything, imo. That's not saying I blindly follow everything the huddle puts out (ie I disagree on a few rankings, sleepers etc), but in general I have done well drafting based on their rankings. I read a lot of other sites and consider their opinions info, but I don't use the rankings from anywhere else.
  24. I've drafted Tate in both of my drafts so far as a lotto pick/trade bait to the Foster owner. I've gotten him in the 12th round in both drafts, one a 10 teamer and the other 12 teams. No idea why the Foster owners didn't grab him earlier. If I were you, I'd draft him in the 9th or 10th to be safe. Honestly though, I'd probably just avoid Foster altogether. He could be great again, but it sounds like they are going to really limit his touches this year to keep him healthy. If tate is healthy, he's going to be getting a lot of the touches. If Foster gets hurt, Tate becomes a top 10 back, imo and that's really the reason I want him on my roster.
