  1. Yeah I've currently got Ben in the line up but I'm getting cold feed. My opponent started 3 players on Thursday and didn't do as well as he could have (Meyers especially). So in a way I have a slight advantage and don't want to maybe risk it. But then again I guess I should go for the home run as it's the playoffs and no use being conservative? Ughh. Really I don't mind sitting Gore and am tempted to slot Garcon over Ben but I guess I'll roll the dice...
  2. Yeah I'd like that one if they were playing in Cinci, but maybe I'll grab them as they are on the wire.
  3. Normally anyone against Arizona but will the Lions be worthy of starting on the road? Their defense is pretty bad. The Bengals on the road at Philly?
  4. Ok, I've been in trouble and now feel even more conflicted. We're allowed to start 2 QB's since flex allows for any position. Big Ben was my #2 QB and I dropped my backup (#3 QB) the very week Ben got hurt (isn't that how it always works). So I've been using 3 RB's to get into the playoffs and barely made it. Now I need to choose: I have these RB's: Richardson, Gore, Spiller I have these WR's: Colston, Jones, Garcon, D. Alexander, Stevie Johnson QB's: Big Ben and can claim Locker I plan on starting Richardson and Spiller for my RB's I plan on starting Colston and Jones for my WR's So basically, for my flex do I take a chance with Ben for the upside/points or go with Gore or Garcon? Or do I take a chance with Locker given his new OC and likely needing to throw a lot on the road in Indy? Gore - Miami can be tough on the run and with his new QB, running isn't quite the same focus as before with Smith. Garcon - I guess I'm not much worried about his foot given his last two weeks...but not enough of a track record? Ben - I think he might be good for 2 scores...if he can withstand some of the hits. Thanks
  5. I'm starting to think he won't go. Yeah, Calvin has done similar in recent weeks but Julio hasn't had that MO. And if he does start, I can see them getting out to a quick lead and sitting him or he leaves because his ankle swells up again, etc. Soooo... Available: 1a) T. Young 1b) R. Broyles 2) B. Lloyd 3) M. Floyd There are others but these seem to have the most potential? Floyd scares me mostly because I have zero trust in Rivers... Lloyd was looking better when I thought Welker might be out... Young is risky simply because Calvin seems to be his old self again... What would you do?
  6. Brady for sure. Indy will be missing two of their starting corners and if Luck can actually connect, Brady might _need_ to throw.
  7. Yeah, that's what I will do. If I lose this week I'm out so I'll pick up Foles and start him over Gore. TOUGH call though because: 1) While Chicago def is tough, SF won't be throwing much and will likely try and ground and pound it and use their defense to eat up clock. If Chicago is smart, they will do the same and it could be numbers for Gore just through use. 2) I'm worried how many points Foles will lose me with turnovers - and his one TD was such a wide open receiver that I could have hit him, so I dunno
  8. I had Big Ben and am in a 2QB league so the depth is thin. Ponder and Locker are out there but with byes... So at least for this next week, I can go with Foles, Leftwich, or Gore (against Chicago, ugh) on flex. What do?
  9. I've been guessing wrong all year when the two play, and while I'm not ever wanting anyone to get injured...this sure makes my line-up choices very clear for this coming week. Yay! Wait. Boo! Ahh hell, I'm not sure what emotion I'm supposed to publicly display.
  10. @ all - the voting comment was just for fun, and I probably shouldn't detract from what I'm really here for. @ turbinator - I agree on Pitt, that is the way I'm leaning as well. If they are not there at 3, I'll grab the Pats. True on kicker, and so you're thinking best to drop Titus Young and grab Wilson over Tann? Interesting as most match-up projections have Tann over Wilson by a fair amount. Wilson on the road vs. Tannehill at home? I guess I'm worried about him outside of that cushy Seattle crowd, but it also feels like a coinflip. Just wondering why you have Wilson out in front? I agree about QB's having higher ceiling but also a lower floor. But I guess I agree. Sad I dropped my QB3 at the wrong time. Grrr And yeah, I suppose you right about the kicker for waiver 3 though I don't see a run on either QB which is why I'm likely still going for kicker at waiver round 2 but you have a point...
  11. Ok, the only way you're really helping America by helping me is because I'll likely be less hungover after a win, less inclined to ingest illegal narcotics, and ultimately stay employed. Here is the deal. I normally don't ask strangers for help (it's why we pay to be part of sites like TheHuddle, right?). But some of their guidance and number crunching won't be out in time to hedge my decisions so here I go. My own choices have not worked so I'm turning to strangers I'm somewhat screwed because I'm in a 10 team QB/RB/WR flex PPR league and Rodgers and Richardson are on Bye this week. Team QB: Big Ben, Rodgers (bye) RB: Richardson (bye), Gore, Spiller, F. Jackson, Jennings WR: J. Jones, Stevie Johnson (might not play), T. Young, B. Lloyd TE: O. Daniels DEF: Miami K: (random crap each week) At QB I have Big Ben going (though sucks A. Brown likely out) but here are my decisions: I'm wanting to pick-up a defense, kicker, and possibly a QB2 for my flex (dropped Palmer two weeks ago and was used against me this week to beat me, ugggh). I'm 3rd on waiver position. Since my only real options at QB on waiver are Tannehill and Wilson, I'm leaving them as my last pick-up (maybe). I'm thinking I need to grab the Steelers or Patriots for defense since they won't likely sit out there after the first waiver round. 1) Do you go for the Steelers or the Patriots for both this weekend and the rest of the way? I'm leaning towards Steelers but if the Patriots can keep getting big leads and forcing teams to throw...they can still force turnovers despite giving up yards. Both have somewhat soft schedule remaining. Which? 2) Which kicker do I get? Gostowski or Zuerline? Ok, I realize that is an easy answer but I'm guessing the team that dropped Gostowski will pick-him back up off their bye if I go defense with my first pick. So do I get him first and then hope either Steelers or Pats fall back to me if it's a coin flip on them anyway? Or get a defense that controls more of their chances and get kicker second? Zuerline is only good because the team trusts him with long range and we get extra points on distance so... (and they suck in the red zone). 3) Do I pick-up Tannenhill or Wilson for flex or just stick with Spiller or F. Jackson for that position? 4) For WR, I'm planning on going J. Jones (duh) and B. Lloyd. Stevie is hurt and might not play or play well. Titus man me sad this last week, and my opponent has Brady starting so I'm praying Lloyd can offset some points. Bad idea? 5) Do I vote for Obama or Romney? My future fantasy career is in your hands. Be gentle.
