He was their best and most explosive back. He was a threat to take it to the house on many plays whereas Coleman pretty much could only get what was there on similar play calls. $3M isn’t fair for what they will ask him to do if he doesn’t perform then he’s cut at year end. I don’t blame him. And he only wants what Coleman is getting. Just pay him the extra $1.5M

I wondered a lot of the second half of the year why Shanahan would not commit to Mostert. Clearly he is the most dynamic runner. Coleman only gets what is blocked. Best thing happened to SF was Coleman going down

I don’t believe McKinnon is guaranteed much actually. Definitely not $18M. From what I have read they can release him this month and incur just a $3.7M cap hit

McKinnon has a career 3.8 yard avg. And he's coming off the ACL. Given they have Coleman, Breida, and Mostert all pretty cheap, why hang onto him at that price?

i actually think McKinnon could be gone. Coming off the ACL. Gets them out of the remaining years for a $3.7M cap hit. Breida showed great toughness this past year persisting through his high ankle sprain so I think he showed them something.

They need to win to get a 1st round bye. The bears are right there. Gurley can rest then I think may be wishful thinking since I have him but seems to make sense for their playoff aspirations to me

not sure you watched the whole game, or watched closely. there were so many calls against the Chargers defense. Even at one point in the 4th when they didn't throw a flag on the KC corner for interference against Tyrell Williams, Troy Aikman commented "they're letting them play, but only for one side seemingly". Chargers got the Mike Williams call in the endzone I think, but it was hard earned after so many against them, especially after 3rd down stops, IMO. All in all, the refs tried to ruin a great game regardless of who you cheer for. The league needs to come down hard against these weak, repetitive calls.

any opinions on this guy? he's fallen off a cliff. he's never been fast, just a tall big body. but Wentz doesn't look to him much anymore....especially in the redzone where you'd think he'd be a prime target. they have other weapons which should get him one on one against smaller CBs consistently. watching their games he doesn't always seem to run hard and fight for position. is this guy washed up before he's even 29?

Don’t take it so seriously when things go bad or you’re frustrated just shut it off and live another day and I agree about a dynasty league and having only one team. It’s how I am setup. Things go bad you make moves for next year

Smith went 11 carries for 22 yards. One run of 14 yards for a TD. I know he's the fallback position to replace Coleman for next year, but does anyone have an opinion on his upside? I couldn't watch this game.
