  1. I can't seem to add my players to my teams.
  2. Considering the number of debilitating injuries we hear of after a player's career in the NFL (i.e. dementia, chronic headaches, suicides, etc.), I'd have to say most positions in the NFL are pretty brutal. I think hockey players get a fair amount of abuse as well.

And yeah, that chick that is Nick Fury's captain in The Avenger's...she has an ass to rival Scarlett! http://www.hollywoodnewslink.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/cobie4.jpg
  4. Subscribed. I often wonder sometimes when I walk in to work why a flag is at half staff and I always ask around like a dummy. Now, I'll be the more smartered one...
  5. Jeebus chester, you are the reason places like stealerships make money.
  6. It is great as well so you have a history and if you need them for court, you don't have to subpoena your wireless provider to get them. Bad thing is, you can't send picture messages.
  7. I'm ex-military, so the bit about remembering our troops due to the freedoms we enjoy every day is something I often think about. But, I think most Americans go about their daily lives with nary a second thought about those freedoms and our troops. That's just me and maybe I'm a little too critical. Do I understand that Houston was a celebrity and is a known entity versus one of our military guys/gals that died in action who is a relative unknown to the vast majority of us? Yes. Do I understand why people who never met Houston drop to the ground and start crying about Houston's death? No. Do I understand that Houston was an incredible singer turned junkie and basically killed herself? Yes. Me neither. Good info here.
  8. C'mon Lenny, if you are smart enough to root your phone, you are smart enough to get rid of the duplicate notifications...duh. Methinks it is in settings, if I remember right. From a rooted EVO 4G user running Myn's Warm 2.2 ROM.
  9. Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it :eastcoastsign:
  10. I've used Google Voice quite a bit. When my wife and I first got Android phones, I set both of our phones up with Google Voice. However, there is a slight delay when you are talking, so we would often end up talking over each other and got frustrated. Of course, for what you are looking to use it for mainly (international travel), I could live with it. My trips to Austria I end up using my work phone because Sprint's CDMA isn't compatible with being used on the airwaves in Europe. I've never used Google Voice off a computer, but I think you can certainly do this. Google Voice is nice because you can access your account online and check voicemails and do texting from it. You can set up a set $ amount and Google Voice keeps track of it in your Voice inbox.
  11. After seeing all those pole vaulter and beach volleyball chicks, I think SI should just start using actual athletes for the swimsuit model. That would make a lot of sense considering SI covers sports!
  12. So I have a brother in law that works for a company that secures defense contracts. He studied Political Science in college and he supposedly understands the intricacies and implications politically on the contracts he works on. OK, I'll take him at face value as he seems to be doing well. He does also have political aspirations and he may eventually run for office here in Arizona. His belief is that the Gov't belongs in our lives to the extent to manage the market, and in general, redistribute wealth, health care, etc. He does say that he doesn't believe the Gov't should be like Big Brother, but it is definitely a necessity. We were talking about Federal jobs and how they are increasing and he said "what does it matter, it's a job?" Maybe I'm missing something, but I tend to think a private free market job created is better than a government job as that goverment job costs taxpayer money and takes from the overall pool of money available. OK, I agree with some of the things he says, but to a point. I think he is trying to come off as not so leftist, but he sure comes across that way to me from what he says. So I've been thinking about this whole Gov't encroaching on our lives thing since it seems to be happening more and more. Here are a few questions I have; When you look around any place that you are, I'm sure you can pick out some area where the gov't has had some influence. It could range from the building codes your house was built to (I realize some examples of things around your house may be local/state government.), the specs your light bulbs need to be built to, the food in your fridge or pantry adhering to FDA rules, gasoline being pumped at a certain % or octane, you name it, there seems to be government oversight in just about everything. I understand these things are meant to protect us, but at what point do we shut off government influence? It seems to me a case could be made for just about any scenario that would need government oversight. Maybe this is me realizing that we are truly in a losing end game as the folks in DC will eventually get their wish; a fully empowered Federal government with little controls to no controls. I know the Feds have their mandate from the Constitution and what their powers are supposed to cover. I do think this past century has certainly seen a power grab and increased influence to the point where I think people feel as if they have to rely on the government. Is the Constitution truly that antiquated or has technology and our ability to communicate almost realtime really changed the face of our government and it's reach?
  13. Leave your mancard as you head out the door...:ducks:
  14. Duh, out of all posts ever written anywhere as Whomper knows all. Wait, didn't he say that Houston was the best he ever heard which logically extends to best ever period? Hmm...conundrum...
