  1. I'm pretty set at WR and I play in a 3WR league, however I may have the opportunity to turn Kirk and MT into Zay Flowers. Zay looked like an alpha in week 1 and while I do like MT, I just don't see how he gets to high end WR2 updside like Zay without an Olave injury. Kirk's bad week 1 is mildly concerning and I'm not full on panicking but this just feels like shipping out 2 decent players for a player that is better than both. Thoughts?
  2. CMC still has elite volume and some better matchups coming, like this week against ARI. If you really want to sell I'd wait for the big game this week and then offload for better. Cook might miss time but also is likely to break down in the next 4-6 weeks due to reaggravating the same dislocated shoulder so I don't think he's a good replacement at all. Samuel is also looking like he'll have elite usage and should be a rock solid WR3 so I wouldn't toss him in there like that. Pittman is great and all but that offense kind of sucks so I'm not sold on guaranteed WR1 production from him.
  3. Herbert short term, Mattison long term. I have a feeling Herbert will have a decent game against NYG this week as they couldn't stop Zeke/Pollard at all on the ground. Cook will probably play through his injury but from what I've heard it's the kind of injury that gets worse each time you aggravate it and since we're in week 3 and he's already injured it again I'd say his likelihood of breaking down in the next month is moderately high, so big upside with Mattison. Definitely upside with Herbert as well, but unless Montgomery is out for 3+ weeks I see him coming back and splitting reps at worst with Herbert.
  4. Hi Irish, So it's do or die for me this week in last place at 4-8. I have 5 teams above me whose bodies I can climb over to get out of last but if I lose this week my chances of escaping being ice bucketed on draft day and being humiliated on r/roastme will be slim to none. Here's my waiver situation: Jalen Hurts at QB and considering Taysom Hill as my first pick as I think he has more upside than Carr or Burrow this week (on the wire) and if he's out I think I'm screwed. RB's Harris/Patterson/Swift/Sanders - Strongly considering either Jamaal Williams or Michel as my first pick to pair with Harris so I can free up Patterson for WR. Feels like at least Swift will be out. Boston Scott available too. WR's Diggs/Patterson/McLaurin/OBJ/Lockett/Cooks - Bourne/Parker are best on wire so probably sticking with what I have here. Really don't want to run Lockett or even McLaurin this week but OBJ is banged up. So what should my first pick be? Hill, J Will, Michel or Scott? 10 team standard league. Please send help. ***BONUS QUESTION - Lockett, McLaurin, OBJ or Cooks as WR3 if I take an RB on the wire to run as my RB2? I kinda hate all those options for different reasons *** </Thanks!>
  5. Thanks Irish! I pulled the trigger this morning : - ) I'm actually trying to work a trade with Damien but so far the two teams that need RB help aren't really biting. Might wait for a good performance from him, which may not come, and ship after if I can. Thanks again for the advice!
  6. Made the trade. Thanks for all the input everyone!
  7. 100%. At least D'ernest Johnson would be an RB2 next week if Chubb misses so there's still a little potential value there. Mattison is tough since we KNOW for a fact that he's an RB1 if Cook misses because we've already gotten to see it. I don't blame you going after Melvin Gordon as he's still a playable mid range rb2 with, in my opinion, a slightly higher floor than Javonte at the moment. Second guessing yourself based on perceived outcome and trying to predict injuries is fun : - D P.S. I almost took Chuba the week McCaffery went down but I left him on the wire because my brother had McCaffery and I felt bad snatching his handcuff. In the end I still got Chuba and traded him to my brother for Patterson so it worked out but I felt like a dumbass for being nice and not pulling the trigger on that.
  8. Yeah, I get that and I definitely have that bias towards Javonte and against MG3 due to him being the new hotness and MG3 being old but in reality I think MG3 is doing better on the season than Javonte in fantasy scoring. It's another tendency I'm seeing that I keep undervaluing handcuffs until the injury happens and it's happened at a high rate this season, but it also feels like a flawed approach to keep trying to predict injuries and then hold up a spot that you could use for someone who is more likely to be valuable just because the value of the handcuff is higher. Not entirely saying Javonte is a handcuff because you could've still run him this past week and been happy with low-mid rb2 production but his ceiling is likely capped at mid range rb2 unless something changes.
  9. Honestly, it's personal dislike for Hurts and for the same reason I'm seeing half the people here telling me to stick with Javonte but I'm starting to lean heavily towards doing the trade as I'm seeing highly experienced fantasy players like yourself telling me I'm crazy for not doing it now : - P I was also kinda hoping either AJ or Julio would be out to make me feel better about downgrading Tannehill as I have a slight concern I'm going to drop him in a week where he goes off but I guess I could just make the trade and run Tannehill for just this week in that case. I appreciate your opinion.
  10. Yeah, I get that, but I don't know that I need to stockpile 3 RB's that aren't surefire and pass up on a top tier QB option. For context I'm also 2-4 so I need to keep winning weeks and Javonte probably isn't helping me do that for the next 2 at the very least. I appreciate you weighing in : - )
  11. He will. My brother has Hurts and Rodgers and he has already agreed to the trade and is ready to pull the trigger as soon as I make the offer.
  12. Just re-read your post and realized you said the opposite of what I thought. Kind of agree and MG3 seems like the more trusted back, even though Javonte is getting snaps in all kinds of situations.
  13. To be fair, you could say that about a lot of different handcuffs but are you starting Pollard or Javonte over a starter like Miles Sanders or potentially Elijah Mitchell? I mean, this week will tell if Sanders and Mitchell have a good RoS outlook or not but I'm betting they both do. I appreciate you weighing in though : - )
