  1. I know its probably wrong but every time I hear that word, I think abut Something About Mary. Healy: My real passion is my hobby. Mary: Really what's that? Healy: I work with retards. Mary: Isn't that a little uhm, politically incorrect? Healy: Well to hell with that, no one's gonna tell me who I can and cant work with right? Mary: No, I mean... HEALY: There's this one kid, we call him Mongo on account of he's a mongoloid. He got out of his cage once and--" MARY: He's in a cage? HEALY: Well it's more of an enclosure really. MARY They keep him confined? That's bullhonda! HEALY That's what I said, so I went out and got him a leash you know, one of those clothesline runners for the backyard. He's got plenty of room out there to dig. The kid's really blossomed. Now I can take him to ball games, movies--you know, happy stuff. MARY: That sounds like fun. HEALY: Yeah, it's fun for them, but it's heaven for me. (getting emotional) Those goofy bastards are just about the best thing I have in this crazy old world
  2. For instance...if ads in a 3 hour game take up 30 minutes, the game being shown takes up 2.5 hours. Speed up the game to 2 hours of televised game time, guess how long the game will still take? Still 3 hours, since they now have an hour of ads to produce revenue.
  3. Bullets seem so violent. Maybe just with a crossbow. "Message for you sir."
  4. Now you are being silly. Force fields can not be opened for less than 10 seconds.
  5. Drop a 3 foot diameter bullseye. It could just stay there or swing it like a pendulum. Hit that and ya get 5. Put a camera on it so refs could determine a true hit. RedBull could sponsor it.
  6. Good point. I was always thinking it was in the kicking teams best interest to get a long hang time to get your guys down there and pin them <20 yard line on a kickoff, but what you said makes sense.
  7. I still dont understand and never hear commentators talk about the fact that they moved up the kickoff, but teams never adjusted to get their kicker to still try to pin the ball close to the end-zone. The kickers still boot the thing out of the end zone 9 out of 10 times. Why arent the kickers trying to take something off it, to force the other team to catch it and try and run?
  8. If kicks are almost automatic, then why don't they propose to move the kick back 10, 15, or 20 yards to give the kicker some challenge?
  9. At least he didnt mix up the jars with Stickum. Yowza!
  10. I see Leo DiCaprio has a "7"...seems like you have way, way more clicks than him so you are a shoe-in.
  11. I read the O/U at 54.5 with Eagles -2.5
  12. Yes, i understand what you are saying. How do you feel about that?
  13. It was mentioned by the Hitter.
  14. Did you discuss your predicament with the Eagles coaching staff? Were they open to helping you out? Dude, stop it. You asked a question, then started debating yourself. You will drive yourself crazy. Or are you trying to get others to see things your way to make you feel better about your decision?. I dont think you will get that here.
  15. "Hey Torrey, only kickers make or break a FF win or loss"
  16. You are absolutely within your rights to do the best you can for any week that you have a game. Otherwise, why have the consolation game? If you are expected to put a lineup in, then it is your WW as much as the next guy. If it interferes with the championship, then remove those games and dont ask/allow me to put in a lineup.
  17. Understood, but is there something in THEIR league rules (Not ESPN...who the hell is ESPN to decide what is churning). Maybe the OP can post the league rules in their entirety so we can all see the situation more clearly. Unfortunately, the minute there is something open to interpretation, there will be blood. OP, Can you post them?
  18. Has he backed out the changes and apologized to all the teams for his meddling? If not, I wouldn't stay in the league. If he didn't apologize and try to put things back, and if he's a real tool about it, as a side exercise to prove a point: I think the commissioner now has the duty to accept all requests to rule changes. Ask the commissioner to break the rules for you today by picking up and changing your lineup for last week to maximize YOUR total points. Ask if he will be available on all Sunday mornings or accept emails to document pickups that require his "assistance" when he isnt available, since the other teams deserve the same chance even if he is away from his duties. He will balk at all of this, but just ask him you are trying to find that sweet spot on what rules he will break and what he wont.
  19. YES...wait, you mean the beer, or the impatience with people, or drinking AND getting impatient with people? Losing in FFL is nothing anyone can control, unless you are an actual player or coach in the NFL. Yes, it might mean money down the tubes, or loss of pride, or hot broads giving you a trophy, etc. But just as I lose by 1 point, I have won by 1 point. We've all been there.
  20. Maybe the kicker truly does feel bad for your FF loss. Did you see the whole post-game? I think if you watch carefully, he does apologize to FF owners. Think about him going home to his wife and kids with your FF loss on his mind. He wont sleep a wink where the guy on your roster ,that played way back on Thursday, sleeps like a baby.
