I’m ok with Darnold. After losing Cousins, there isn’t much out there anyways that screams game changer at that position. Maybe KOC can get something out of him for a year or two, while we look for the QB of the future. Trouble is the Vikes are HORRIBLE at drafting QBs. Hell, it can’t be any worse than fumble bumble Dobbs and Noodle Arm Mullens.

I should have phrased my question a little clearer. When they first changed the NFL overtime rules to allow the other team a possession if the receiving team only scored a FG in overtime on their first possession, was that team then required to score a TD, or could they kick a FG with their possession and tie the game again (then resulting in a sudden death scenario for the remainder of the OT period).

So I get the new playoff rule, but I’m trying to remember a specific situation when they first changed to the each team gets a possession rule. I thought if Team A kicks a field goal on their first possession, the other team gets the ball but they had to score a TD at that point and couldn’t kick another FG to tie. Am I remembering that correctly?
