  1. For the "average" NFL RB, I'd say 27 is old - most RBs are out of the league by then. Either way, I was speaking comparatively - Rawls, Carson and Prosise are all younger than Lacy. Fat and lazy are def the more important factors, though.
  2. Are you 100% sure you submitted a claim? Sometimes peeps think they've submitted one and they simply forgot to click on that last button . . .
  3. The point isn't to play him now - no way. But Rawls will get hurt again and Lacy is fat, old and bad. I assume that this will, at some point, no longer be a RBBC.
  4. Not a lot of chatter about Chris Carson. What am I missing? Lacy is toast, Rawls can't stay healthy and this guy actually looks like a complete RB (i.e., he can play all 3 downs). I get that the SEA o line is crap, but this guy has a shot to get a good amount of volume - not easy to come by these days when it comes to FA RBs. PS - damn, these forums are dead
  5. Speed, no; explosiveness, yes - but I mean explosive jumping. Patella tendon injury can have a large impact on leaping ability, so those jump balls that he was once pulling down with ease might not be coming with as much frequency in the future.
  6. Patella tendon injuries aren't easy to recover from, as the tendon is unlike any other tendon in the body (other than the other patella tendon, of course). This isn't like a torn ACL, where the tendon can be replaced and come back just as strong. I have doubts that he'll ever be as effective again as he once was.
  7. We can play 2 TEs in my 2nd league (which is a PPR - 2nd TE would play over a WR in my WR/TE slot), so I ended up taking Reed in the 3rd round and then Olsen in the 4th. I didn't particularly like the WR options available to me at those picks (they were projected to have basically the same production as Olsen), so I figured there was no reason not to. I get the added benefit of being able to slide Olsen over into the TE slot if/when Reed gets dinged up, so I think it works.
  8. Not seeing your point here. What's the issue with "only" 6 catches in a week? 6 catches per week over the course of a season is 96 catches, which is fantastic. After coming back last year, he was about on that pace for the final 8 games - if you spread out his pace in those 8 games across 16, you get 87 catches and 1600 yards. I don't know about you, but those would qualify as "big reception totals" to me.
  9. Not quite following the logic of some of the posts here re: Tyrod, lack of targets, etc. Watkins was pretty much elite in the second half last season - and he was targeted double-digit times more often than not. He had a slow start, with the injury, getting used to a new QB and all - but he was excellent once he got his legs under him. I drafted him with confidence as my WR2 in a PPR last night.
  10. If they liked Ware better, he'd have had a bigger role when Charles went down - he's had his opportunities last couple weeks purely out of necessity (i.e., because nobody else was around). I think Reid prefers a more "complete" back on the field, which is why they preferred West . . . take a look at what Ware has done in the passing game last couple weeks. Nothing. If it's going to be a split, I'd assume something like 75/25 favoring West, who they might spell just to keep him fresh.
  11. Neither had I - until I did it.
  12. Apparently I do. I still think DMC is a big risk (as do most, which is why people generally laugh when you say you moved Olsen for him), so I negotiated for it - why not?
  13. I was able to wrangle a 2 week option to exchange DMC for Stewart, provided Olsen doesn't get injured. Just couldn't get comfortable with Olsen straight up for DMC, even if I don't really need Olsen. Feel good about it now.
  14. It's a risky move but I've got guys like Snead and Moncrief to fall back on in that flex spot if DMC blows up in my face - not a huge drop from Olsen to those guys.
  15. I think I'm buying on McFadden - that's still a great o-line for him to be running behind and Randle and Michael . . . I just don't see either of them really stepping up. Think I'm about to trade Greg Olsen for him in one league (where I have Gronk at TE and have been using Olsen in a flex spot).
