Shotgun Messiahs
I know it's been done a billion times before now. I just like to know where everyone got their nicknames from. Mine is from an early 90's band. They had a one hit wonder song called "Heart Break Blvd". Plus it fits football well to me with the word Shotgun in it. I apologize to the old school members that are tired of seeing this. But if you don't mind explaining I would appreciate it.
Chavez
I used to have long hair and after burning one of my college buddies with a good one, he called me a "Chavez-lookin' mofo", and it stuck. As a few Huddlers can verify, even my wife calls me Chavez.

yo mama
Mine's pretty weak. But when I first started playing FF my league mates were more into talking trash and posting doctored pornographic pictures on the league site than actually *playing* the game of FF. Everything was, "Your mom is this," and "Your mama does that." In our third year I took over as commish, moved the site from Yahoo to CBS and dubbed the League "Yo Mama's Trash Talkin' Fantasy Football League" as an homage to our vulgar roots. A few years later, I joined the Huddle. "Yo Mama" seemed a good a nick name as any. Course, I passed the commish torch to another this year. And he has subsequently moved the league to Fanball and renamed the league "Ron Mexico's Fantasy Football Camp." But at this point, my Huddle name is sort of set in stone, I guess. Though, I did use an alias very briefly because I couldn't remember my password at home, so I created a separate account. I doubt even Big John knows what is was, though. AtomicCEO
I was the CEO of a ruthless corporation, until one day an accident with some radioactive material mutated me to where I am hideous and deformed, but I also gained super-strength. I now wear a mask of shame, and hide in alleys and dumpsters by day... but at night I seek to root out the evildoers of corporate crime as superhero AtomicCEO!! And, I also play fantasy football. Even a mutant superhero has to have a hobby.

I Like Soup
Well, I joined my first real fantasy football league in Austin during the 2000 yr campaign. Since I worked a compressed schedule in the semiconductor industry (read: only worked Fri-Sun), my second year they made me a pseudo-commish just dealing with the website setup, etc. If anyone remembers,...CBS used to have a rolling wire at the top of the league page that you could change. I would generally make a smart aszed comment on each of the matchups for the week and then have a one three word liner that was completely out of the blue. I Like Soup was the first. And...I really do like soup and always ask for it so it kind of fits!

bustedflush16
Three reasons. First, it is a literary reference from the Travis McGee book series, second, love poker and third, many of my fantasy teams have come up short like a busted flush-

Whiskey Pimp
I was at a comedy club one night and the comic on stage was sipping whiskey. He made some reference about being nothing but a 'drunken monkey whiskey pimp'. No idea why, but I was laughing my ass off at that name. I did have that whole name at some point on here but it was too long and skewed my posts. For most of my team names I used either Whiskey Pimps or Drunken Monkeys.
