League Analysis and Graphing (LAG)

The idea of LAG makes perfect sense but I'm reading DMD's explanation of the example he uses and that doesn't make any sense. He says falling back on a QB doesn't hurt as much as a RB yet the 4-10 Avg. QB declines 21% from the avg top 3 yet only 19% for the RB's? Seems by those numbers you should focus on a top 3 QB. The 11-20 QB's decline 20% from 4-10 and the RB's go down 22%. So I'm concluding that they pretty much decline equally(41% diff for both between top 3 vs 11-20). I ran the numbers in my league and they came out about the same as the example he used. So correct me if I'm missing something here but I don't see a lot of value in this tool. Or maybe my continuous staring at fantasy football stats has clouded my undestanding. :D

DMD can give the definitive answer, but I'll take a stab.

While the points the two positions get may decline at the same rate according to your league's scoring system, you still need to start two RB's, so the supply is going to disappear much faster, and you'll feel the [point reduction at RB twice.
