Dr. Sacrebleu
fwiw. On 1050Espn radio eli was asked about his injury and his answer was verrrrry noncommital in terms of starting the first game of the season. radio hosts are talking about how to 'interpret' his comments. Some stating outright that they don't think he'll start, some trying to put a positive spin on it.
Vet
I heard the interview too. Yeah, Eli was a bit non-committal - but he basically said he'd be back for opening day. When Michael "I'm an idiot and I know absolutely nothing about football and very little about baseball" Kay asked him to GUARANTEE he'd be back by opening day, Eli said something like "I'm not big on guarantees." Which to me, can be looslely interpreted as "Michael Kay, you are an idiot who knows absolutely nothing about football and very little about baseball. Please stop asking me idiotic questions." Manning went on to say that he could probably play right now if he had to and that he just didn't want to take any chances.
