Stephen Jackson...

I think he is the real deal....so far he has looked strong in the pre season. I will be watching closely tonight!

I draft this weekend in both leagues and he is ranked in the bottom of the second round where I come back in both.

Maybe Jordan in one and Jackson in the other but we will see.

I think the split goes something like 80/20 in Jacksons favor.

1100 - 1300 combined yards and 8 -10 TD's in my opinion

I'm sold on him....I'd be more sold if Faulk wasn't hanging around, but I gave up a bunch of guys in my dynasty league last year to get ahold of him.

Martz seems to be changing his philosophy a bit, and think he will give the running game more of a chance to develop before unleashing Bulger and the boys.

He is big, he is strong, and more importantly, he is a starting RB. whats not to like??

The pass-first head coach/offense and the HoF RB peeking over his shoulder.

I think Faulk has certainly been demoted to the 3rd down/change of pace back - and if he stays healthy doing so, he's a deluxe option in that role.

As far as Martz, I have seen several articles (in the local paper, Sporting News, SI, etc) about how he self-scouted and realized that in their SB years, they were much more dedicated to the running game, and he's going to go back to that. Whether it sticks or not remains to be seen, but the intent is there, at least. Either way, as long as his pass-catching is up to par, he should be productive.

Jackson can hit the hole hard, but I don't think he has good instincts.

Not sure if the guy has any cutback ability and runs a little upright...but running straight ahead he looks good. If he can stay healthy, he will have a solid year due to the passing game getting so much respect.

I'm not drafting him unless he's my 3rd back

Did you see the 64 yard run and the run in the beginning of the 2nd QTR? Not only can he cut back, he can accelerate nicely too. Watch some film from him at Oregon St. and all your questions will be answered.

LIke I said unless he's my #3, I don't want him...most folks think he is a solid #2 and drafting accordingly...I would be very upset with my team if he was my #2 back.  I'm not buying it.

:D This guy is either a genius or an idiot.

In most 12 team drafts he doesn't slide past 2.12 or 3.1 unless your league is WR/QB happy. Got him as my #2 behind S.Alexander and I'm happy. He could be moving up after tonight.

64 yard was not a cutback...it was off tackle.  He is obviously very talented, but watch him...straight ahead.  If the play starts right, it stays right...just watch him.

I don't like his running style, so maybe I'm being too critical.

I don't recall Jamal Lewis having too much wiggle, and it seems to have worked out OK for him. :D
