Tie Breaker Ideas
Posted 30 August 2005 - 10:03 PM
With decimal scoring, it probably won't happen. However, just in case there is a tie in a playoff game, how should we break it.
The idea I threw out once is:
Each team selects 3 "tiebreaker" players from their starting lineup and rank them 1 - 3. The number 1 player from each player breaks the tie... If there is still a tie, we move to the number 2 player, etc..
Vote yes or offer another option. Once we have a few good options, we can decide from there.

What Puddy said for tie-breaker is fine for me...I forgot to vote when I posted.

If 2 or more teams are tied for the division title the tie breaker will be as follows:
1. Head to head
2. Division record
3. Total points scored
4. Total points scored (head to head only)
5. Total Bench Scoring
6. Roll dem bones (ie. coin flip)

Welcome back Nsab. We are trying to decide how to break a tie in case of one playoff game ending in a tie. This solution looks like it's for who makes the playoffs if two teams have the same record. There is a different thread for that and I think you voted total points first then head to head in that one
