Titletown Iceman
What if the NFL teams played each other but the scores were determined by a fantasy performance scoring system? We tried this experiment last year and found some interesting differences from the way the real NFL came out. Colts won it all, Steelers barely held the division, Vikes over Packers, and so on. We are repeating this experiment this year - see www.xffl.net/vnfl throughout the year (standings are zeroed right now). Ideas and comments are welcome. We also thought about a league where each owner takes one NFL team and plays out the NFL schedule, with a premium on finishing ahead of the real NFL team in the VNFL standings. Could be boring with a time like the Browns tho. Another draft idea - owners are allotted a total number of VNFL wins to purchase entire teams with (Colts cost 14 last year), e.g. in a 8-team league your budget might be 32 wins. Good luck in your FFL season.
