Ramhock
Most of us loons can't get enuff and some of us are in upwards of a dozen different leagues. Do you tend to target the same players? Or do you try different combos, not putting all your eggs in one basket?
CaptainHook
I diversify to an extent. I tend not to target the same sleepers, but the top of my draft tends to stay the same.
Grits and Shins
Very often I end up getting the same players because I value them the same no matter which league I am in .... In my local league and in Hannibals I have DDavis, KJones, J.J.Arrington and Barlow. I have J.J. Arrington in yet another league. I have Bulger in 2 leagues. I have Holt in 2 leagues. Piranha
Very often I end up getting the same players because I value them the same no matter which league I am in .... 960466[/snapback] Same here. I have Owens in a few leagues cause he was always available to me in the 2nd round. Too much of a risk factor for other people I guess. ABearWithFurniture
In every one of my leagues this year...I targeted players who's first or last name started with the letter M... It seemed like a rather good strategy at the time...
'canes2004
It really depends on what slot I'm drafting in but as the draft goes into the middle rounds and beyond, I try and grab a few players that I'm keen on. I'm in six leagues, not counting WCOFF, and I have these players in multiple leagues: Drew Bennett WR - 4 leagues. People seem to bypass him. I have a feelin he is gonna have a great season no matter who the QB is. Willie Parker RB - 3 leagues. Hey who knows? If he lights it up while Duce and the Bus are nicked up, maybe he will reatain #1 status even when they return. I'm worried about the goal-line carries, or lack thereof. Carson Palmer QB - 3 leagues. He seems to be slipping down pretty far. Must be the "Bengles" in his name. He's my #1 in all three. Hope he produces. L.J. Smith TE - 4 leagues. If I don't have a shot at Gonzo or Gates, I like to wait on TE's until late in the draft. He's been there so i've grabbed him. Not sure what to expect. Mewelde Moore RB - 3 leagues. Just hoping to win the Minny starting RB lottery. Again worried about goal-line carries, Moe Lewis, and I'm betting on Bennett getting hurt and being benched for good. Ursa Majoris
I've done 4 of 6 drafts so far (two locals to come) and I've simply looked at what's on the board, compared it to my personal board and drafted the guy I think is the best at the position I need at that slot. The only time I would deviate from this is if there's some amazing bargain still there, like Shaun Alex in the bottom of the third round.... theeohiostate
I've had a 1,4,8 and 11 draft spot thus far, so early on, nothing is the same. I also like to target the same sleepers, but i think thats normal for everyone, that's why they're our sleeper. This just gives me a better opportunity of playing agaisnt my own starters each week, and hoping they do well enough for me to win , but not good enough for me to lose. wiegie
I diversify my retirement portfolio, but I don't go out of my way to do so with my fantasy teams (in fact, other things being equal, I prefer to have the same players on my multiple teams). CaP'N GRuNGe
I have more than one copy of Stallworth, McMichael, and Fason in my multiple leagues.
Big John
Some areas I do diversify, but I still have Deuce and Driver in multiple leagues.
loaf
I don't target the same players it just seems that they are always available when my turn comes
Sam
Like Canes said it depends where your drafting from. I've done two drafts so far this year. One at #4 and the other at #9. My "studs" are different in both leagues but I tend to draft similiar players in the mid to late rds. In both I have JJ Arringtion and Benson. I passed on L. Johnson in the 5th rd in both drafts in favor of Arrington. We'll see how that pans out for me.
gilthorp
Through three drafts this year, my only triplicate player is Rod Smith, and that's not because I targeted him, but he was there as an option I liked at the time. My only duplicate player is Kevan Barlow, and maybe a few back up RB's. My local yet to go, which is a weird, but challenging set-up...I won't care if I get those guys yet again, but if I do, it will be because the draft didn't go according to plan.
