The Wolf
I took Larry Johnson diring my league's auction but I do not have Priest Holmes. Keeping him could be a boon or a bust, depending on how Priest does. I pose this question: To a non-Priest owner, what trade value does LJ have and is it greater than or less than the value he carries if be becomes the starter? CowboysDiehard
I drafted him in all 3 of my money leagues, about 2 rounds early (generally 7th round, after the top shelf stuff was gone anyway). I'm thinking of changing all the team names to the Priest Holmes Deathwatch. Not thinking of trading him at all, the priest owners have nothing that I need. "I'll bide my time....." Big Dogs
There's no doubt that if Priest goes down, LJ's value skyrockets and is HUGH!!! Last year......In the last 6 weeks of the regular season, LJ was averaging 23 points per game.........In comparison, when Priest was playing the first 9 weeks of the year, he only averaged 20.9 points per game. (depending on your scoring system) I've seen LJ go in rounds 5 - 9. If you really want to trade him, the only value you'll get is trading with the Priest owner, and as a backup, you should be able to get a top 20 WR or some middle tier starting RB. rattsass
you can say that again. 961822[/snapback] One thing that nobody seems to mention is that if you let the Holmes owner get Johnson, you are giving him a nice fat advantage. Something to think about I'd say.
Kid Cid
I think that if you drafted LJ to trade to the Holmes owner you've wasted a pick. Hang on to him, it's worth tying up the roster spot. LJ will be a good #3 RB out of the gate and will only produce more each week as the season goes on. You drafted him, now use him!

Again, because he is a back-up, he may never play enough to justify keeping him, so I was curious to see what you all thought his worth was in the open market. I do tend to agree that it's worth more as the season goes on as opposed to now.

spain
I tried to trade him for Roy Williams to the priest owner. He countered with, get this, Duece Staley. I declined and will keep him.
