cre8tiff
I drafted Deuce, and still have faith in him, but will what amounts to a complete season on the road affect his worth? What is ya'll's opinions??? Edited September 1, 2005 by cre8tiff
godtomsatan
Um, it's a downgrade?
whitem0nkey
And don’t by the whole argument of, well the team will bond because they will travel everywhere and the will be a tighter group.
kraftykraft
Um, it's a downgrade? 961602 I would downgrade Saints players 1-2 spots in their respective position rankings. But that's not a huge deal
BOO
The Saints have a drastically better road record than home record since Haslett took over - for what that's worth to you guys.
Kid Cid
So this just means that the Saints can't do their patented late season fade and miss the playoffs in their last home game of the season. They'll get the luxury of missing hte playoffs on the road this year.
Randall
As Bears fans. They did it a few years ago.
Bender Rodriguez
At first I think this will motivate them. However, as the season progresses its gotta take its toll. Unfortunately, that's FF playoff time.
Flypaste
Stallworth is catching everything throw hs way tonight. He looks poised... he looks quick and his routes look good.
Chavez
Saints could either pack it in; OR, they could really show up, for a few reasons: - realizing the city is in shambles, they dedicate themselves to giving their all to represent the city - most of them aren't native New Orleanders, so aside from normal concern, they don't give a deep emotional attachment - they're terribly concerned, but the time on the field is an escape from the situation in NO. Without chatting them up personally, it's tough to know.
peepinmofo
I drafted Deuce, and still have faith in him, but will what amounts to a complete season on the road affect his worth? What is ya'll's opinions??? 961593 The way I see it, EVERYONE will be cheering Deuce and the Saints this year. He'll likely have home field advantage all year....To an extent anyway. DMD
If it mattered greatly, you would see more difference between home and away records which as pointed out, already favored away games by the Saints. It is an inconvenience for them to be sure, but their opponents are playing road games as well. And for the emotional effect on the players, that is pretty much incalcuable and an individual thing but it could just as easily make them a better team than a worse one. Remember too - a lot of those players do not have their home and families in New Orleans, they just play there. By the same token, there are a lot of NFL players on other teams that do live in the area during the offseason, grew up there or went to college around there. I dn't think it is nearly as clear as to be able to move players around from the event. You should be doing the same for the players that actually live there or grew up there for that matter.
