theeohiostate
This could become a trend..............quickly. Contain Peterson and you can beat them with no problems Peterson may have already lost the Heisman in the first week, so much for my preseason pick. :doah: Edited September 3, 2005 by theeohiostate

Peterson won't get the same "drop back" defenses to face this year. 8 men in the box and maybe 9.
theeohiostate
965431 Congrats yuckmonkey, i'm sure you'll be celebrating all night Where does this win rank all time for the TCU program?

I may not like OU, but Peterson will be hugh in the NFL, imo. Has all the tools.

theeohiostate
Stoops shoulda gotten his young guys in last yr instead of going for 70-0 blowouts 965432 If this statement is true, you've posed a very interesting comment . Coaches have a bigger responsibility than winning by 30,40 or 50.............don't they? I thought the BCS took the winning margin out of the formula last year? Am i incorrect? I'm not saying this is the only reason Oklahoma will stink this year, but it's important. Tressel always empties the benches. The 27-13 scores may look ugly to the pollsters, but his teams get better over the year because scrubs get valuable PT.
Kansas State 2000
Now Peterson knows how it felt to be Darren Sproles last year after he lost his QB ... well but Darren still gained yards ...

Don't EVEN compare the two! I've met Adrian Peterson. I respect Adrian Paterson. Darren Sproles.... he AIN'T no Adrian Peterson.

Kansas State 2000
Darren Sproles.... he AIN'T no Adrian Peterson. 965629 True, Adrian has a long way to go ... From NFL.com: One of the most prolific runners and all-purpose performers in college football history, Sproles rushed for a Kansas State career record 4,979 yards, a figure that ranks 11th all-time on the NCAA career rushing chart and third on the Big 12 Conference career record list. He also totaled a conference-record 6,812 all-purpose yards, which ranks sixth on the NCAA's career list. In all, Sproles set 23 records while at Kansas State, including virtually every career, single-season and single-game mark for both rushing and all-purpose yards. He holds the KSU records for both career touchdowns (48) and career rushing touchdowns (45). Sproles totaled an incredible 24 career 100-yard rushing games, with five 200-yard rushing performances, and averaged 110.6 yards per game during his career. Clark Griswold
NFL, graduation, youth. That about sums up the Sooners problems. 2 inexperienced QB = no QB OL graduated 3 of 5 starters Several Wrs are gone Dan Cody is gone And there are more im sure. Expectations were rediculous for this team to be ranked in the top 10 to start the season with so many key players gone.

Was hoping Lineart would have left for the 9ers this year. This year would be the 2-peat if you are talking about the BCS Championship.
