Can he take the team to the super bowl? hummm, I would have to say no at this point as I do believe he makes many bone head moves. I think trading Moss was the worst thing he has done, but after seeing what they got for the extra salary from trading moss, plus the other off season pick ups, I'm feeling a lot better about the guy. This will be the pivitol year though, if he doesnt make it far in the playoffs [or doesn't make it for that matter] he needs to hang it up. Too much talent on the team to not make it far in the playoffs.... I am hoping for the best this season....if it's the same as the past few years, I will change my mind and forever call him a an idiot as you've called him. He does not make good decisions under pressure and his game management is terrible IMO. He is much better suited to be an O line or TE coach(which is what he was) and is only the head honcho now because that cheap sob Redneck McCombs would not pay for a real head coach. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt this year because he improved somewhat last year throughout the year, but we'll see. If we had a guy like say Tony Dungy the last 5 years, there's not much doubt in my mind we'd have had an SB by now. Window is closing fast on Tice. I blame Red McCombs for the Tice hiring. He didn't want to pay a coach, he was fine paying Randy and Daunte, these guys put fans in seats...but coach wasn't a priority for him. Love his Free Agents past few years. Love him or hate him, he's turned the Vikes in the right direction. Hopefully he'll be a bit better this year. I'd rather have Tice than that other name that's been thrown around if he's out next year - Jim Fassell.
