Kansas State 2000
Holmes ran for 35-yards and needed a blow ... Johnson took the next carry to the house.
CaptainHook
My point is that Johnson WILL see more playing time than before. The Chiefs would be crazy not to use him.
Chavez
So what's the split - Priest 1200-14 + receiving while LJ gets, oh, 500-8?

Randall
Play 'em both. Simms ays he runs like he's mad. Everytime he touches the ball he runs like he's making up for not playng. Mr. Pennypacker
And to think they almost traded him last year to TB for McCardell.
Ramhock
Stepped up and took him in round 5, in two leagues. I will start playing him next week. I am not a Priest owner.
Wolverines Fan
I own both Priest and LJ on two of my teams. I started Priest today. This could get frustrating. I'm wondering if they're saving Priest for later in the season or they'll keep doing this. I also may start both of them some weeks, especially if my other backs have a bye. My #2 RB on both teams that I have Priest is SJax. I guess I'm set.
Slusy
Man, I wish I'd started LJ instead of DDavis tday. :doah: I'll have to consider LJ when I'm playing matchups going forward; the Jets defense isn't normally anything to sneeze at, so LJ could be huge if he and Priest split evenly... alexgaddis
I played against Priest today... Go LJ, Go LJ, it's your birthday, its your birthday..
giantsfan
You know what the bottom line is? LJ will play some also. Now Priest will do well also and have good #'s but this is what all the guys who said, like me, I would never take Holmes as a top 5 pick were talking about. alexgaddis
yep, its a great rushing attack and they will use them both ALL YEAR... and its not an overreaction, LJ is younger and playing well, expect to see them both this year.. giantsfan
It's 1 game dont over-react. 982857 You are 100% right it was just one game. But if anyone thinks, especially after watching today's game, that LJ won't get a very decent amount of carries you are kidding yourself. Like DMD says, the best players play. Period. LJ looks like the best player right now.

Chadman
The coach loves Holmes. The fans love Holmes. The offensive line loves Holmes. The game was NEVER seriously in doubt, why would they use Holmes any more than they did? Not a bad game from a running back, I don't think. 85 and a TD. More than I can say for a lot of #1 backs today. In a closer game, Holmes will get a lot more action than today.
westvirginia
He had 9 carries 982884 Right, and did twice what Priest did with his.
