Grimm74
"Mewelde Moore - RB, Minnesota Vikings 09/13/05 Viking running back Mewelde Moore's conflicting statements concerning injuries has frustrated Mike Tice and the Minnesota coaching staff, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Moore didn't appear in a single play from scrimmage in the loss to Tampa Bay. According to the paper, on Sunday there was a press-box announcement in the fourth quarter that Moore had sprained an ankle. Later, coach Mike Tice said Moore had been "leg-whipped" and it was his understanding the injury was to the "other" ankle. When Moore heard after the game his injury had been announced as a sprained ankle, he was overheard saying to a trainer: "Tell the coaches it's nothing. I'm fine." Huddle Up: As of now, Tice said he expects to continue with his rotation of Michael Bennett getting the bulk of the carries and Moe Williams coming in on third down. The Viking soap opera appears to be getting off to an early start this season." If he is hurt he is hurt? What are the conflicting statements? Is he telling the couches he is hurt and the trainers he is not, but he then tells a trainer to tell a coach he is OK??? What the F??? I think Tice is idiot. DexterDew
Like this quote from the Tice Press conference will help any: Q: Was (Mewelde) Moore healthy yesterday going into the game? Had he declared himself healthy? A: Of all the four backs, he probably was the least healthy. So that is why, the plan with him was he had to do the kickoff return and some when he went in as the press guy on punt return. He had done that during training camp. We really didn't have any packages for him. Like I said. he really was the least healthy of the group so we made his time to be kickoff return. He did indicate that he got leg-whipped in the ankle and was a little sore today. I think of the three guys I named, he is probably the most probable to be okay by Wednesday, is Mewelde. http://www.vikings.com/news_detail_OBJECTN...uotes91205.html What the heck does "we really didn't have any packages for him" mean? And "he is probably the most probable to be okay by Wednesday"? So am I to assume that you didn't plan on using him, so he just happened to be injured (to which he told the trainer to tell the coaches he is fine), and that by Wednesday he will be the healthiest of the backs. All of this BS and secrecy would be OK if you won the fricken game (and screwed the fantasy footballers to boot, he he), but you lost your home opener, you dumb manatee! The Undesirables
Mike Tice = Hopfully he will get his head out of his a55 an relize MM is best back on the team.
Randall
So when not healthy he becomes a kick returner?
Slusy
Screw it. I'm dropping Mewelde until they fire Tice. It's just too much of a risk on any given week to put Mewelde into the lineup unless every other Minnesota RB, including those on the practice squad, is hurt and unable to play. The kid has great upside, but it's useless unless you know he's going to play, and I don't think Tice is ever going to put him in and let him be the featured back, especially while Bennett is still there... Skrappy1
So when not healthy he becomes a kick returner? 988169[/snapback] Exactly, is there any job in the NFL more likely to get some injured then returning kicks? Tice is a moran.
Spartans91
I think Moe Williams is the best and most reliable back on this team and has been for at least three years. He doesn't get hurt, he can score from inside the 10, he catches passes. Forget Bennett and Moore, stick with Moe. Tice is a dunce.

Whenever he has been given the start he excels. If only Tice was smart enough to figure out he is more than a goal line back. He runs and catches pretty well.
