I have this guy in one of my leagues that focuses on 3-4 teams back up rb's during FA period which is open after August 1st.

Every year he picks up these back ups from these teams.

1. Dolphins

2. Steelers

3. Eagles

4. Chargers

I know these teams are more committed to the run, and there back ups always produce (most of the time). After the 53 man roster cut-down he will keep the ones that make the team and sit on them. BTW this ff league has a 26 man roster limit. He gets lucky every once in a while, like this year with Willie Parker. With the size of the ff leagues roster is this in your opinion a good plan?

why not..........with a 26 man roster, there is plenty of room.

In one of my leagues (with a 17 man roster), I used my last 3 picks to suck up backups of other guys in my league. (Gore, Blaylock, Davenport). First time doing this, don't know if good idea or not yet.

I've been doing the back-up strategy for a couple of years now. When you hit, you hit big. A couple years ago I took the back up in Green Bay, Ahman Green. Ring a bell, yeah went to the Super bowl that year. Anyways its not a bad idea, better than a non producing WR who plays but never counts for anything.
