CaptainHook
Edgerrin James has typically not had "great" games against the Jags defense. In the last 6 meetings, Edge has been held under 100 yards rushing and only scored once. He has had combined yardage of over 100 yards in all but one game: 10/03/04 at Jax 19 carries 83 yards 1 TD; 3 catches 25 yards 10/24/04 at Indy 18 carries 87 yards; 6 catches 54 yards 9/21/03 at Indy 27 carries 76 yards; 3 catches 28 yards (broke transverse process in back and missed 3 games) 11/09/03 at Jax 15 carries 44 yards; 6 catches 26 yards 9/08/02 at Jax 26 carries 99 yards; 2 catches 11 yards 12/29/02 at Indy 15 carries 86 yards; 4 catches 33 yards The Colts have used the TE position effectively against the Jaguars. In four of the last 6 games, a TE has scored. Clark is a must start this week. If your having problems at TE, Ben Utecht is worth a look. yo mama
Nice Job. Though, if Week 1 is any indication, Taylor may be in line for some up-hill sledding this week, relative to prior tilts. DexterDew
Great Job Captain! The problem that Edge is going to have is running up the middle against the two DT Pro Bowlers. I just don't see IND running much inside the 5. But I love the fact that Edge does catch some passes every meeting, and it is the home opener for IND. So maybe Edge will score a TD... Brentastic
Cap'n, you've officially become the front runner for the "best homer info" award in my book. Rovers was up there, but he's slipping. You da man.

Fortunately, the Colts are fun to write about, especially offensively. Again, great job...

CaptainHook
Further making Jimmy Smith a good start is the fact the Colts put CB Donald Strickland on IR Wednesday. Also, SS Joseph Jefferson will miss the game against Jacksonville with turf toe. Mike Doss, who did not play all pre-season due to a groin strain, and missed Week 1 to a suspension, should start a SS. That means that Smith will probably be covered by 5'8" Jason David who gets burned at least once a week, or rookie Marlin Jackson who will be playing in his first game. David will be on Smith. Rookie Marlin Jackson will probably play the slot on Jones. I bet Harper moves into cover the slot on third downs though. It's really hard to say how they'll use Marlin Jackson yet, since he did not play against Baltimore. Second round pick CB Kelvin Hayden will see some playing time as well. He's had one TD pass three times. His high is 2 TD passes. And the Jags love to go to Jimmy Smith against the Colts. It's hard to get a feel for what the Jags have planned for Jones, although they seem to have a lot of red zone packages for him, judging by the Seattle game. I'm sure he'll line up at QB a few times. soopanuts
Nice job Cap'n. As a Clark owner, I was very happy to hear he practiced yesterday and said he would play. Your review gets me that much more excited, especially since that TD probably would have went to him last week.

Twice Utecht hadn't got his head around in time to find the pass. The third time was in the end zone as well, where Reed and Utecht collided. Dallas will be a big part of this offense. CaptainHook
The Colts defensive line beat the crap out of Lefwich today. Freeney only had one sack, but must have had 10 hurries, 5 knock-downs, and a couple deflections. Montae Reagor had 3 sacks. Leftwich was getting killed out there.
