rbmcdonald
UT should be #2 in the BCS poll, when it comes out this afternoon. They have been moving up in the computer poll projections, as well as increasing their lead over #3/4 in the human poll. It is possible that they will not ever reach #2 in an average of the computer polls, but at the very worst they should stay where they are at in the computer polls, and their current placement in the computer polls is not enough to offset their lead in the human polls. Four of the current undefeated teams are guaranteed to lose. The result of this should be that the difference separating the remaining undefeated teams should shrink. This works to the advantage of the teams that are ranked 1 & 2 in the human polls. The only thing I see keeping UT out of the Rose Bowl (other than a loss), is a dominating win by a team in the ACC or SEC Championship game, and near loss by UT to someone other than Tech. Even then I am not sure it will happen, because if would require a noticeable shift in human votes away from a team that did not lose, which generally does not happen. Perchoutofwater
The BCS is out, and Texas is ranked firmly in the #2 spot at .9591 over VT at .9067 and Georgia at .8933. Texas not only has a commanding lead over the #3 and #4 teams in the human polls, but also in the computer rankings, which honestly is some what suprising to me. It looks like Texas controls it's own destiny. If they can get by a streaky Texas Tech this weekend, they should find themselves in the Rose Bowl playing for a national championship. GWPFFL BrianW
Texas should be able to put up 50+ on a VERY SOFT Tech Defense, and Tech hasn't been challenged yet offensively. Texas by
