LoJax
I don't think Gruden will use Cadillac that much if at all, only because they play some pretty tough teams coming up. That being said, should I start Pittman vs 49ers or Portis vs Giants.? Team: QB: McNabb, Brunell, Collins RB: LT, Portis, Caddy, Pittman WR: SMoss, RWayne, Larry F, DStallworth K: Bryant, Vandy D: Colts, Lions
bsubroncos
I see your temptation with that 49ers matchup. Still, I like Portis better. The Giant D gives up yardage. I think Portis is the safer pick
biggamer3
giants dont give up many onehundred yard games besides last week
broncosn05
giants dont give up many onehundred yard games besides last week 1108085[/snapback] With them giving up on average 116 rushing yards I have a hard time believing that even if I don't have those stats by me. So I would still start Portis the Redskins are going to be part of a big shootout that even Portis will be a part of.
stduke
I'd have to say Portis just because he's the man in Wash...Caddy may get some touches and every little bit hurts even against the 49ers....see mine please.
Balzac
Portis - no question, unless Gruden deactivates Caddy. Don't play with fire when you have Portis to lean on.

Cowboy Killah
Giants gave up 180 yards on the ground last week to the one of the best rushing offenses in the league, and then there was the other best rushing offense with LT2 going bananas on them in SD Rushing for 192 yards. So yeah, that pads the stats a bit when you look at average yards given up per game. Arizona, Dallas, N.O., and STL were all held under 80 yards rushing with no RB breaking 50 yards. Also of note, The only back to score other than LT2 or Mike Anderson was Steven Jackson once. So as far as the Giants D is concerned, yeah, the Skins are gonna have to beat them through the air. The yards per game allowed on the ground by the Giants is greatly inflated. That said, Portis is a great recieving back and caught for 100+ against KC a few weeks ago so he'll get his, but not on the ground.
