GOB1
The big ten may not have the so called elite teams, but wow are they deep. It looks like theyll be sending 8 teams to bowl games this year. Its no longer the Big2 and the little 8 or 9 whatever. This next 2 weeks should be interesting.
BigTen
Who wins the B-10 this year? I say if Wisconsin beats PSU they do. If not I think that UM could win a Co-Championship with OSU, UW, and NW.
theeohiostate
Agreed. We have a few very strong teams, but nothing outstanding, with several solid teams. Hoping the Bucks get a share of the title and face a Miami, LSU or Florida in a big bowl game. We do have 3 teams inside the BCS top 12 now, so although our National Title contender hopes are dashed, we may be able to squeeze in 2 BCS bids. Illinois appears to be a lost cause this year, but Indiana is showing signs of life, and I don't think anyone goes into a game against Purdue thinking it's going to be a cakewalk. Should be an interesting finish, Of course, I would like to see Wisconsin lose out, Penn.St Lose to Msu, and MIchigan win out. But thats alot of ifs. Right now, If I had to predicted, I see Wisconsin, losing this week, setting up a hugh final week. With the buckeyes Playing Michigan, and MIchigan State Playing Penn.St. Right now I like the buckeyes chances, they seem to be playing well on both sides of the ball. With the exception there secondary picks it up.

Pitbull739
This has been a great year watching the Big 10. I am a total homer, but I gotta go with Joe Pa and the Nittany Lions as your Big 10 champs.

Fenokee
I'd like to see the Lions win out and claim the crown, but this weeks game against the Badgers scares the h.ell outta me. Alvarez has had Penn State's number more times than I care to remember. If JoePa can get past Wisconsin, then things will look brighter as Penn State always seems to do well against the Spartans. Either way, with the way the Big 10 determines the champion tie breaker, if the Nittany Lions are tied after all is said and done, they'll still be awarded the BCS bowl game, since they havent won the Big10 since what......'94? PSULions
Penn State has another great outing pasting Wisconsin this afternoon and controlling the game from the outset. Penn State came within one play of beating Michigan on the road and could easily be 10-0. Yet, at 9-1 many people don't give them the credit that they deserve. I think that PSU and OSU are the class of the Big Ten and Michigan, Wisconsin Minnesota and NW are right in the next group.... I think Penn State will beat MSU in a few weeks and the title will belong to the Nittany Lions for the first time since 1994. WE ARE..... PENN STATE!!!! Everything I've read or saw on ESPN, College Game Day, etc. has always been extremely positive about Penn State this year. I mean EVERYTHING. The only "people" who wouldn't are the people who don't know, or simply don't like PSU. They have proved that they are one of the top teams in college football. But they still have MSU before they can clinch a BCS, so they can't get complacent just yet.

GWPFFL BrianW
I welcome Penn State back. And Notre Dame for that matter. It just feels right when those two teams are having great years. I've always said too, that JoePa has earned the right to step down whenever he darn well pleases. I said the same thing when Hayden Fry was in his last days. For better or for worse. When he wants to step down, he should get to do it and do it on his terms. I am happy for JoePa

I was actually embarassed at the way the Penn State fan base was talking negatively about JoePA. I've always stood by the same thing that you just said, he has completely earned the right to step down when he feels the time is right. I am so glad to see him get some vindication this season. Joe Paterno IS Penn State, and deserves respect.

Joe goes when he dam well wants to and not a minute sooner. I swear it was the media trumpeting the Joe must go thing, not the alums. However, I must say, sometimes when I go to the games at Happy Valley, I go with my best friend. His dad is very wealthy, and he has the prime 50 yard line seats with the 70+ year old fans who have been there forever. I am always amazed at how negative these old-timers get. Even this year. They rip Paterno, MRbob, etc. the first time something goes wrong. It is tough for me to bite my lip, because I want to lay into them, but then I remember that my Mom taught me to respect me elders. With UCLA, VT and FSU all losing this past weekend and finally jumped over ND (a good team, no doubt), but I think we are ranked about right now at #6. My other comment was based on what I heard from Mark May on ESPN College Scoreboard. Holtz has been giving JoePa props all season, which is nice to hear, but Mark May said "Mark my words, Wisconsin will beat Penn State next week." He still did not seem to give them credit for so well since the Michigan game and the fact he were playing at home. Well, I watched the show last weekend after we spanked Wisconsin and didn't hear a mention about his prediction from the previous week..... Guess it was hard to get the egg off his face to mention he was WRONG about the Nittany Lions and played very well again. We definitely need to take care of business against the Spartans next weekend, which hopefully, we will do. I am getting excited for a top Bowl and our first in several years!!! Nice to see a few fellow Nits here with me in the Huddle too..... WE ARE.... PENN STATE!!!
