wiegie
Believe it or not, I would actually say that it was worth the 80 cents that I paid for it. It was a fair amount better than I had expected. I am not sure that I would have paid $1 for it though.
Big John
I have to go with Totinos. They are the only ones who sell frozen sausage pizza in the south.

He'd spend $1.00 on the pizza and $10 on crap to put on it.

I also enjoy bargain frozen pizze once in a blue moon, though I tend to go with Tombstone. I've got a bit of my grandmother in me. She's got a sign in her kitchen that says, "If you are what you eat, I'm either fast, cheap or easy."
Rovers
weigie, there is a difference between the ghettos, the slums, the run down neighborhoods, the middle class, the wealthy and the rich. Yer in the gutter here. With the near homeless. My brother in law asked my sister how to cook pasta. he has apparently cooked pasta before, but this was different. The pasta had a whole different shape. He had no clue how to cook it. I'd like to arrange for him to teach you how to cook.

Chavez
I recall a cheap pizza we have around here - Mama Rosa's - had the BEST crust; sauce was a little bland, but nothing some McIlhenny's and Lawry's couldn't fix.

I eat them at work now and then. When you cook them in a toaster oven they can be decent. Certainly worth their price, IMHO.
darin3
I've lived in enough bachelor pads to know a great frozen pizza when I see it... and by far the best on the block is the Freschetta Brick Oven pepperoni. The sauce tastes as fresh as I've ever tasted from either a jar or frozen on a pizza. The cheese and pepperoni are perfect - although I usually throw a little added shredded mozzarella on there. The crust is outstanding. With my favorite pizza joint shut down and moved out, this is actually my favorite pizza at the moment. Domino's, Pizza Hut, they all suck. Try this one out. chiefjay
Has a tostinos a few weeks back, had to put on a half a bag of cheese on it and it still tasted pretty rough. I prefer Stouffers but also have to put a lot of cheese on their pizzas as I think they forget to but at least when it's down its pretty good, granted it sits in your stomach for a few hours before digestion. Rebellab
When I was in college the local Kroger would have these kind of sales. I would buy a dozen and a brick or two of cheese and eat for over a week. Good times.
Clubfoothead
I like the party pizzas and Tombstone anything else I pass. I haven't liked pizza that much since I left Fargo, home of Duane's House of Pizza. The best pizza ever, anywhere. I still eat pizza a lot I just don't get excited about it anymore. It's sad. loaf
I'll tell you what...sometimes the stores around here have those Jeno's pizza rolls on sale for a buck a bag or so. Those things hit the spot when yer hammered.
wiegie
Update, tonight I ate the last of the five Totinos pizza's that I bought two months ago. My Swiss inlaws are staying with us and against my strongest admonitions they each decided to try a piece of the pizza (this was the 3-meat flavor). I now know enough Swiss-German to be able to understand that my mother-in-law asked my wife if the meat on the pizza was "dog" while my father-in-law suggested that the pizza tasted like tires. They then settled upon the idea that the meat on the pizza came from some sort of animal that had eaten tires. To make them feel guilty I told them that I liked the pizza since it only cost 80 cents and that I had to eat those pizza's in graduate school all of the time since I didn't have much money. Never had Red Baron; perhaps I should try it. Freschetta blows DiGiorno out of the water... never had CPK's frozen variety. Now I am craving pizza... Round Table here I come!
