cmoore
My co-worker (an OSU fan) described it as the "pillow fight in the swamp" which I was mad about initially, but he is right. No one outside of UF and FSU fans care this year since it doesn't have any implications like it normallly does. Which leave us with pure intra-state hatred, which is fine with me. untateve
Not an inspiring offensive showing by either team. Both defenses played pretty well. Florida made less mistakes and IMO, that is why they sent the evil horde back to tallahassee. And I must say, I almost felt sorry for bowden. Almost. He looked so sad. mjcarterfl
I'm a big Gator fan, and I felt a little bad for the beating they gave Weatherford. They blitzed on every down...even when they were ahead 34-0. I heard the FSU post game show on the radio. The announcers were a little purturbed with the relentless blitzing...Bowden didn't go on the record and agree, but he said "I don't want to say anything that will get in the newspapers, but you know how I fell about it." That being said, it was nice to see UF finally make up for the "late hits" Spurrier complained about in the late 90's.
cmoore
I don't blame them at all, if you don't like it do something about it. We have hit rock bottom with this coaching staff on offense. It's like we got by on talent for some years, but now that injuries and other factors have forced them into needing some coaching to help, it''s not there. Nobody does less with more than this team. Obviously I am frustrated here, there are larger problems than losing to UF.....but that is just flies on the turd at this point. Now we get to go play VT in Jax. I can't believe how uninspired I feel that we are in this game. Edited November 27, 2005 by cmoore

So long as fsu was trying to score, it's up the Florida to stop them.

mhayhurst
Plain and simple FSU is not what it was in years past. As a graduate of UF I thought the game was awesome and our D and special teams came through. If we played like that two weeks ago, I am positive the outcome at South Carolina would have been much different (penalties killed us in that game) and we would be enjoying our first trip in a long time to ATL. But, Pillow fight? Maybe on FSU's side with their lack of offense, but UF put a beating on them and that's two years in a row. We'll take the victory and ride high until next year. It is actually sad that FSU is going to the ACC tourny, b/c IMO they are not deserving, but hey that is the way the divisions are and they won theirs so congrats to them for that. I am thrilled the ACC now has a championship game so FSU will no longer cake walk the ACC into a BCS game every year. Overall the Gator nation is proud right now, but FSU will be back again next year and I'm sure it won't be the stomping that it was this year, but I hope so.
