sundaynfl
For those of you that enjoy Desert Wines, I highly recommend R.L. Buller and Son, Fine Muscat. It is a non-vintage wine that can be found at Cosco for around $11 - 13 in a .375. It would go great with Bier's stuffing recipe! Has a generous amount of sun dried raisen's! I think that it's rated in the high 90's by either Parker or the Speculator.
detlef
Parker is the one who loves it. I do agree that it's a fine value, but I've started taking all Parker's ratings on dessert wines with a grain of salt. When is the last time you saw him rate anything sweet less than high 80s? Honestly, I can't remember anything below 90. Meanwhile, classic Burgundies are getting 87 pts. Honestly, I'd bet he'd give Coca Cola an 88. I think it just comes down to the fact that sweet things taste good. The easiest way to fix a sauce is to add a bit of sugar (or butter of course). wiegie
I've started taking all Parker's ratings... with a grain of salt. 1177415[/snapback] the same can be said of his vintage charts: http://www.erobertparker.com/info/vintagechart1.asp In the past 10 years, he has only ranked 11 of 293 vintages as "average" and only 2 as "below average" or worse. So, only 3.7% of all vintages have been average and only about .5% have been below average. Kind of makes you wonder if Parker flunked basic statistics.
