sundaynfl
I usually buy my salt and peppercorns from here: salt traders The peppercorns are great... I highly recommend the Smoked Viking Salt or I take some Hawaiin Sea salt and smoke it. It's great to melt butter reform it and roll the smoked salt into it!... Bier, what do you call it, when you reform butter?? Olive oil with bread gets old sometimes! Dean and Deluca also has a great selection of salts... aqualung
Might have to try that. We use sea salt also. It probably is just me but when I grind sea salt on my food I don't think I use as much as I had been with the regular salt in a shaker. The only thing I have to question is that we need iodine in our body, since we aren't getting it from the salt do we need a supplement? Countries that have little iodine in thier soil need to have iodine supplements. compound butters (ie: honey butter, cilantro/lime butter, truffle butter, etc) 1201575[/snapback] Thanks Bier!
