Chips 1/2 C chopped walnuts (optional) preheat oven to 350. beat butter and 2 sugars until light and "fluffy" lol. add egg and vanilla. mix in flour, salt, baking soda. stir in cc and walnuts. i don't happen to like nuts, so i added some dried cherries instead. scoop in the size you want on greased (or sprayed) cookie sheet. flatten. cook for 11-15 min....... darin3
I picture a drunk bier, late at night, whippin' up cookies. If I want a late night cookie, I open up some Chips Ahoy.
Seattle LawDawg
Sorry to hijack the thread but... I don't bake...I just don't like following recipes. My wife, on the other hand, really enjoys baking (and its the only thing she's allowed to do in the kitchen). I currently have a very old mixer which was my grandmother's. I have restored it and it looks very cool on the counter but it has functional limitations. If you're not using beaters, its worthless. So, I would like to buy my wife a new mixer. Any recommendations? Doing a quick bit of research, it looks like the Kitchenaid Artisan might be decent.

Hard to beat venison with sharp cheddar, unless it's a quality pepper jack.
