PantherDave
Well this is the final FTCP thread for the 2005 season, and it's been alot of fun for me, and thanks for the interest and compliments. The PD house hold will be having ribeye's on the grill this Sunday, it's New Years Day, so I had'em all cut inch and a half. just the right amount of marbling going on with'em. Having the Giants Garlic and Herb taters, and Mrs. PD is making my Mom's salad(my mom is a genious at making up salads). This one has become famous with family and freinds, so here is my final recipie for 2005. Mama Jo's Salad- Romaine lettuce, crumbled blue cheese, toasted pecans, small can of mandarin oranges(drain juice), Good Seasons "Garlic and Herb" salad dressing(the one you make with oil and vinegar and water in a caraffe), if you can't find the Good Seasons, then substitute with some bottle brand that is based on the garlic flavor. It is truly a unique salad and very, very good. Now for some football- I like the Panthers to take care of business, and fully exercise the demons with a win in the GD. Panthers 20 Falcs 13 Bon Appetite and Good Luck on the Homer Front and FF Wise(if anybody still has any action going)-Peace PD and Happy New Year. FTCP will return Week 1 of next season. sundaynfl
Tonight 20 of our friends and family will be dining on Lobsters and Mussels flown in from Maine. We will be baking, smoking, boiling and steaming cooking them every way known to man! Am open to any suggestions you guys may have... always looking for new ways to cook seafood, especially since we are cooking so many! My favorite is splittng the lobster tail marinating it in garlic butter and spices then baking it... Looking forward to next year PD!! PantherDave
After you've steamed the Mussels, get a big bowl, aka a popcorn type bowl. Melt some butter(a good amount) add some garlic salt and oregano, and a touch of olive oil-say 2 tablespoons, then add Mussels(shell and all) and toss them in the melt-pick'em out and enjoy!!!
