The Pack had a mediocre season and to us WolfPack faithful underacheieved, considering the talent the Pack has, but this USF team is a joke. 'canes2004 Posted January 3, 2006 Share Posted January 3, 2006 (edited) They might be a joke but remember this. South Florida started their football program 9 YEARS AGO. Not that they moved from Div. 1AA up to Div. 1 nine years ago, they started from scratch 9 years ago. They've played some pretty good teams tough too over the years. They almost beat Alabama last year on the road and this year they schooled Louisville at home. The Cards were predicted by some to be a top 5 school this year. With the ton of football talent in the state it's only a matter of time when lesser known schools like USF and also The University of Central Florida (actually the largest school in the state and alma matter of Dante Culpepper) become national powers. Both went to bowls this year. So many Florida high school talent leaves the state because there are only so many spots available at UM, UF and FSU. Now with 2 more Div 1 schools in the state, alot of kids will get to play at home against other top schools and alot of times on TV as well. Look out for these 2 schools over the next 5-10 years.
