Hunkered over a saloon table surrounded by waiters, Audouze reinserts the tip of his bespectacled nose into the bottle of a 1943 La Tache. ``This is why I quit my job,'' the 62-year-old Audouze says, breathing the aroma that in 1997 took him out of the boardroom for a nasal career supplying his wealthy former colleagues with rare wines that stretch back to the 18th century and can cost more than $40,000 a bottle. Must be nice to have the $$$!! To me wine is living and evolving; it would be great to taste something from 200 + years ago. Washington, Jefferson etc... were still alive and people were riding horses to work or worried about cholera, the plague and Indians....
