wildcat2334
RankingsSurprises me to see Cal and Nebraska in the top 20 1251563 Why?? Pretty consistent Top 25 team last few years. Tedford is getting great recruits, once he gets a good QB in place that O will take off.
Runner
They shouldn't even have rankings until mid-season. Pre-season rankings are a joke, and don't mean squat.
GWPFFL BrianW
Pre season rankings are the reason we get crap like 04' Oklahoma in a National Championship game despite a better undefeated team out there.
Gonkis
I hope they're correct, but there is only one program that shoots this whole ranking dead..... Michigan at 11. They were supposed to "grow" after the first year. How is Carr going to develop them anymore now?
GWPFFL BrianW
They severely underachieved this year, much like Auburn did in 2003. However, Auburn finished 2003 strong, whereas Michigan lost there last 2 games, and never got on track. Still, they have a ton of talent on offense, and no doubt will be in the Big Ten Title mix. They're Michigan. Simply stated, they'll be back.

theeohiostate
I think any college football fan can agree that pre season rankings don't help any, and often have hurt legitimate contenders. It would be nice for no polls to be released until week 4 or 5 and let some strength show itself.....that could never happen though, as you'd have polls of what the polls will be and they'd influence the voters also. Really, you have to deal with what we have or just be miserable. Edited January 18, 2006 by theeohiostate

Eventually, you might get there.
GWPFFL BrianW
Didnt you pick OU to win it all in 05. 1274122 um no. But I did have a lot of fun playing with them on NCAA 06'. The Oklahoma-UCLA game and Oklahoma-Texas games are still on my top 10 greatest games list.
