gilthorp
The simple fact that Desmond Clark was just named to the Pro-Bowl severely diminishes the farce that the game already is. Ridiculous.
Flip_Side
Or it shows just how bad the NFC tightends are.
cheezhed
Amazing ........not that there is an abundance of quality TEs in the NFC, but c'mon now. Stevens, Cooley......just to name a few.

whitem0nkey
I just go off the phone from my super-fan friend about 3 hours ago and I was saying the 3 needs that I identified for the bears off season are WR, TE, and CB. So for the WR position I want Antwaan Randel-El. So that leaves TE and CB. Wow the bears must be good if 3 hours ago I wanted my pro bowl TE replaced by some 1st or 2nd round rookie. I love my bears but 7 pro bowlers for a team that won 0 playoff games, and had a weak schedule.......
Ursa Majoris
TEs are only really noticed if they are: a. Included in the offensive scheme as a receiver, not just a blocker b. Have someone at QB that can get them the ball. Clark did what he was asked to do this year, which wasn't much. Not his fault.

Ziachild007
He was selected as a "need" player, not only for his TE skills, but for ST and his deep snapping ability.

CaptainHook
Cooley was listed as a FB in my Yahoo league this year. 1288870 Dallas Clark is an H-back, and he is listed as tight end. Cooley is an H-back, but is listed as a FB. Go figure.

Swampnuts
Who would've thought 229 yards and 2 TD's would add up to a Pro Bowl season? What a complete joke.

Menudo
Will the Steelers let Randle-El go? 1289400 That is a really tough call. I think it will depend on what the market value is for him. The Steelers historically have a value in their head that they think a player is worth, if someone goes over it, they are out of the bidding. Personally, I think Randle-El goes. He is an extremely gifted athlete, has done a lot of good things for the Steelers, and the Steelers will certainly miss him if he goes. That said, he is very inconsistent. He drops a lot of passes, sometimes on crucial third downs. His return game can be fantastic, but he makes lots of mistakes there as well. I think the Steelers gave him an opportunity to prove he can be a #2 Wide Receiver this year, and though he provides some great diversity to an offense, I don't think he is consistent enought to be a great #2. I think the Steelers will let him go, bring someone else in to compete with Cedrick Wilson and Quincy Morgan for #2. Cedrick Wilson is a solid slot receiver as well. Personally, I think Quincy Morgan is intriguing. He has a lot of talent, and he seemed to pick up the Steelers offense quickly and was improving as the year went on. He could be a sleeper for the #2 Wide Receiver next year, and a deep sleeper on Fantasy Football rosters. IF Turner can figure out how to really use a TE, other than blocking that is, I think Clark is serviceable. Does he deserve a Pro Bowl spot? NAH! At least by the HAG rules he was the 16th best TE. Just some food for thought.
