:D

I just go off the phone from my super-fan friend about 3 hours ago and I was saying the 3 needs that I identified for the bears off season are WR, TE, and CB.

So for the WR position I want Antwaan Randel-El.

So that leaves TE and CB.

Wow the bears must be good if 3 hours ago I wanted my pro bowl TE replaced by some 1st or 2nd round rookie. :D

I love my bears but 7 pro bowlers for a team that won 0 playoff games, and had a weak schedule....... :D

TEs are only really noticed if they are:

a. Included in the offensive scheme as a receiver, not just a blocker

b. Have someone at QB that can get them the ball.

Clark did what he was asked to do this year, which wasn't much. Not his fault.

Amazing :D ........not that there is an abundance of quality TEs in the NFC, but c'mon now.  Stevens, Cooley......just to name a few.

I was surprised to see Cooley listed as a fullback for Pro Bowl voting.

The simple fact that Desmond Clark was just named to the Pro-Bowl severely diminishes the farce that the game already is. Ridiculous.

Technically speaking, I think it increase the farce, or diminishes the anti-farce (legitimacy?)

Versatile Randle El prime target for Bears - Draft focus is on tight end, secondary

Will the Steelers let Randle-El go?   :D

That is a really tough call. I think it will depend on what the market value is for him. The Steelers historically have a value in their head that they think a player is worth, if someone goes over it, they are out of the bidding.

Personally, I think Randle-El goes. He is an extremely gifted athlete, has done a lot of good things for the Steelers, and the Steelers will certainly miss him if he goes. That said, he is very inconsistent. He drops a lot of passes, sometimes on crucial third downs. His return game can be fantastic, but he makes lots of mistakes there as well. I think the Steelers gave him an opportunity to prove he can be a #2 Wide Receiver this year, and though he provides some great diversity to an offense, I don't think he is consistent enought to be a great #2. I think the Steelers will let him go, bring someone else in to compete with Cedrick Wilson and Quincy Morgan for #2. Cedrick Wilson is a solid slot receiver as well. Personally, I think Quincy Morgan is intriguing. He has a lot of talent, and he seemed to pick up the Steelers offense quickly and was improving as the year went on. He could be a sleeper for the #2 Wide Receiver next year, and a deep sleeper on Fantasy Football rosters.

Ya beat me to it!

IF Turner can figure out how to really use a TE, other than blocking that is, I think Clark is serviceable.

Does he deserve a Pro Bowl spot? NAH!

At least by the HAG rules he was the 16th best TE.

Just some food for thought.
