kpholmes
So, its that time of year again. I find myself checking the sports news websites every hour or so and not seeing anything new. Time playing Madden has dramatically increased. The boards have slowed down. I watch Sports Center in the morning and at night just hoping they will give me some table scrap of news concerning football, but it rarely comes. And last but not least, I find myself following and attending games to my local flop basketball team, the Kings. (Though Artest should prove to make things interesting) The annual off-season boredom has started up, even though there is still one game left. What will you all be doing for the next 5 months or so to keep sane??

smithkt
I've just joined in to a new dynasty league with IDP and 53 man rosters, so there really is no off-season for me. Darin3 has already started putting together some early 2006 rankings for IDP, so i will be following those closely and trying to get my IDP knowledge more in line with my IOP knowledge. I'm also in another league with active off-season trading and I am a member of it's competition committee. We will be reviewing our league scoring and by-laws looking for areas to improve. So, as far as fantasy football is concerned, there is no off-season for me. Real football... that's a different story. I guess I'll have to pay more attention to the moves the Mets are making to try to finally beat the Braves and end that rediculous run. That takes up 3 days or so of football... And "24" fills the monday night hole for me... But... even now I already find myself having discussions with league mates about next years fantasy studs and picks.... sooooooooooooo far away............ PantherDave
I'm in my first Dynasty League, so I'll be more involved this OS, but still look forward to March 2, when FA movement will begin, then the draft in April(rookie draft in Dynasty following). Then some mini-camp crumbs, and the start of TC and the end of FA movement-teams set. The OS is just time to prepare for next year, golf, fish and vacation-and poof-7 months have passed-Peace PD. Don't think I have had an off-season in years. Just no actual football games for a few of months. Well..... unless you taped some. In addition.... there is so much going on here that there is no going away for those vets of the Huddle.... unlike some who think this place is not longer available from the SB to June or July. Todd1
NBA and MLB rotisserie leagues on Yahoo, NFL draft prep, Free Agency, NCAA Tournament (and pools). February is definitely the worst month though, NBA is meaningless, NCAAs aren't heating up yet, fre agency hasn't started and the draft is 3 months away! Chargerz
I hang out at the "Tailgate" and "Non-Football" forums. You've got the Olympics in February, then "March Madness", then the NFL draft, followed by MLB, NFL minicamps, the opening of regular NFL camps, the preseason games, all the drafting for the upcoming FF season, and then the regular season starts. It's difficult to be bored around here.

Fantasy baseball, figuring out where to go on vacation, sometimes actually going on said vacation, BBQing, keeping tabs on off season moves, NFL draft, yard work, more yard work. Then suddenly it's August and time for the FF drafts.
