That mouth sucks vs the run, and is only effective when he has no one blocking him. I do have to admit Poly is the real deal, and is class all the way even if he is an SC boy. Ryan Posted February 2, 2006 Author Share Posted February 2, 2006 (edited) What has Porter ever done in his career besides a free shot at blitzing the passer, which he never got there if someone got in his way. I suppose since he is a liability in run support, it only makes sense he blitz 15 times a game, and is lucky to end the season with 10 sacks on 240 opportunities. Edited February 2, 2006 by Sgt. However, to insinuate that he doesn't beat blocks, and all or most of his sacks are when he comes untouched is laughable. The guy is a solid player, he just needs to shut his mouth. He is the only guy on the Steelers who spouts this type of garbage. I'll always prefer the Troy Polamalu style.... play like a maniac on the field, act with class off of it. These guys have talked Athenae for a long time- I think this adds to the game, instead of the same drivel we get all week from most guys. I mean, he called out Indy- and backed it up. As a Hawk fan- would love for one of my defenders to speak out like this-It is funny stuff. as A Steeler fan, he obviously feeds off this, why would you want him to stop now? This two weeks between is for the birds...Did you all know that this is the first SB where the opposing coaches both have moustaches?? I know, I didnt either...this was actually reported on ESPN (I believe Cold Pizza). THEN, Skip Blayless and that yahoo he always fights with (actually he fights with everyone) go on to debate which coach had the better moustache!!! Judging from what I am seeing right now, I have no problem with the way Stevens if conducting himself. I agree this is a whole lot about nothing though.
