sundaynfl
When we entertain I usually wear a cooking apron when cooking, but found that I still get some food on my clothes that the apron should protect. My wife wants to get me a Chef's coat, which I think is a good idea. Does anyone else wear one? I was going to PM Bier, but woudl take suggestions on the best place to get one... sundaynfl
Thanks for the heads up on New Chef, Bier! My wife ordered a coat from some other place two weeks before my birthday and 3 weeks after my birthday she calls them to see what's up! No coat etc... They appologized up and down and she told em to F off. So I ordered a customized one last week from your suggestion and they said it would be shipped on the 31st. I just received it in less than one week! I'll def. order through them again!
Jimmy Neutron
I like to cook, but forego the apron or "chef's coat" in favor of draping a kitchen towel over my shoulder when things get messy.

When entertaining, I am usually dressed pretty well and got tired of having to change or ruining my clothes. (I used to wear an apron with a hand painting of one of my Boxers delivering a cheeseburger, but still got messy). I guess I am a messy cook! I stilll have a damp towel and a dry towel available; but it is pretty easy to take of a chef's coat and sit down to a great meal with friends and family and still look presentable! Shorts and a t-shirt - maybe.
Bier Meister
lol.... at home i cook in t-shirt and shorts... always a good idea to have 1 wet and 2 dry towels around (dry for your pots/pans. we learn quickly not to grab pans/pots w/out a towel, or with a wet one.
