Selly
2006 Hall of Fame Members DETROIT (AP) -- Troy Aikman made it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame's biggest class in years. The guy he threw to -- Michael Irvin -- will have to wait once again. Reggie White, Warren Moon, Harry Carson, John Madden and Rayfield Wright also were elected Saturday. Not since 2001 had the maximum number of candidates been chosen. ADVERTISEMENT Emmitt Smith, who joined with Aikman and Irvin to win three Super Bowls for the Dallas Cowboys, campaigned vigorously Friday for his two former teammates. But Irvin, plagued by off-the-field troubles in recent years, was left out in his second try. The late White, the NFL career sacks leader when he retired in 2000, and star quarterbacks Aikman and Moon made it in their first year of eligibility. Moon is the first black quarterback in the Hall. Madden and Wright were seniors committee candidates and Carson was in his seventh year as a finalist. The class of 2006 and will be inducted in Canton, Ohio, on the weekend of Aug. 5-6. NinersIn2006!
Michael Irvin needs to be let in already...I get last year was kind of a "punishment" for his off the field stuff during his career, and this year the class was pretty good (why are only 6 allowed per year??) Irvin needs to get in next year! And the guy killed us in the playoffs in the 90's, so you know my opinion isnt biased!

Skilly
All right, Warren Moon! 1305147 Moon was an incredible quarterback. Not sure of the stats, but he went to something like 9 or 11 Pro Bowls. That guy could throw a nice ball.

Voltaire
No Monk, again. 1305157 That sucks... yet you hear more crying for Irvin. No Oprahing way Irvin should even be considered ahead of him.
Retrograde assault
Drew Pearson should get in eventually too. Don't know if his numbers are all that great but I watched him his whole career and nobody made more big catches in Cowboy history than he did. I think it took Swann a number of years to get elected too didn't it?

Ever seen his coaching record? 1305328 I hear he finally got in based on the popularity of his computer game. 1305344 Then you obviously have never seen his coaching record. He wasn't elected because he has his name on a computer game... or because he is an announcer... he got in because he was a great coach. 10 years 103-32-7 His teams never finished worse than 2nd. His .739 winning pct is the 2nd best in history for a coach with at least 100 wins. >>>>Of course I bit, but if I disremember correct you always were a decent fisherman. I didn't know his coaching stats either BTW but I assumed if he wasn't in already they must have been mediocre. Now the only excuse that I'm reading fo why he wasn't in is that he didn't coach long enough. Seriously, I think the man has done way more than enough for football when you add everything together to make the hall. Top coach for many years, announcer with the best gig, top computer game pitchman, says nice things about Detroit on Thanksgiving, great haircuts -I think he uses the same barber as my uncle. The man's got to have the most recognised face and voice of anybody in the football community in my lifetime. As for fishing ... I've cut down on it in my old age (34). It was more fun when I first got on the internet- a couple of weeks after Al Gore invented it.
Meat Face
aikman? his stats aren't very amzing....but he has those 3 super bowls. I guess that's the reason. Looks like Brady is a lock, then!
