keggerz
OK lets see what everyone really thinks about that call... I am also curious to see how each homer side viewed that play
Menudo
I think the Darrelll Jackson PI call was ticky-tack. He did push, lightly, but it is almost never called. I watched the Ben TD on TIVo, several times, and it looke like he broke the plane, then when the ball hit the ground, it bounce back in his arm. Fact is, the Steelers played poorly in the 1st half, and they are leading, that is all that matters to me. All I want is the victory. Skippy
In order of how I would vote. Yes Inconclusive If you don't see it go in on the replay that they showed us then you have to go with the field call. I for one think I seen the ball touch the white while Ben was in flight. Not the crap on the ground.
bluedog
No way that was a TD. Ball did not break the plane.
theeohiostate
Don't think it could've been overturned either way, but if the ref would have made his initial call, short, instead of allowing Ben to shove it in the endzone then change his mind, it'd be 3-3 now. For the best refs in the NFL, they're showing just how poorly the officiating has been this year in the NFL.
Swampnuts
Holmgren said on the sideline that the replay officials upstairs said the call was garbage! This is a joke.

I think the percentage is 95% that Ben sneaks it in on 4th and half and inch.

A tight game, no time left in the first half and just to get points on the board would be enough for Cowher to take the 3 pts.

C'mon, we were just starting to get along..... I have watched every Steeler play for 20-some years, and I can GUARANTEE you that they would have gone for it on 4th and 1/28 of an inch with a 240 pound QB. Whiskey Pimp
The review call by the ref was right in that in was inconclusive. The field call was wrong. He runs in with his ONE arm up calling him down and then decides he's in????
polksalet
Absolutely a score on Ben's run. However I think Jackson might have scored on that late grab by the pylon.

The PI on Darell Jackson was weak, otherwise, they've gotten it right.
steeler
Holmgren said on the sideline that the replay officials upstairs said the call was garbage! 1306739 Holmgren said his assistant coaches said it was not a TD.... think they are biased? This is a joke. This play happened in the 2nd quarter... plenty of time to recover for Seattle.
Randall
Too hard to tell. It was close but don't think the camera angle was right on the goal line. I thought it was an inch short but couldn't overrule the call on the field.
Big Score 1
I watched the Ben TD on TIVo, several times, and it looke like he broke the plane, 1306735 Interesting! I too TiVo'ed it and thought the ball didn't cross the plane. But, if we both TiVo'ed it and came away with different interpretations, then by definition of there needing to be "indisputable evidence" to overturn a call on the field, the right replay call was made. theeohiostate
However I think Jackson might have scored on that late grab by the pylon. 1306767 Can't believe it wasn't even reviewed First foot in , second foot looked out, but on the replay the goaline pylon moved before his third foot came in contact with it, making me think his right foot grazed it before touching OB, but we'll never know. F'ing Steal ers are getting all the calls.

It is not a given however, that they make it in. The Seahawks have two opponents today, and that's a shame.
