Menudo
....I've been wating for this for 20+ years. With my Dad's passing, it made it even more special. However, the team that just beat Cincy on the road, Indy on the road, Denver on the road, and the Seahawks by 11, is not getting any credit at all. Truthfully, it does bother me. The only call I disagreed with was the Jackson offensive PI, shouldn't have been called, should have been a TD.....it wouldn't have mattered though. Anyway, it does bother me that NO ONE is coming through and congratulating the Steelers, but that is o.k. I've waited for ever for this, and I"m loving every minute of it. tonorator
i congratulate them and you menudo. i think it's great you got the win and i know it is very emotional for you. you are not getting the because it was just not that kind of game. no one walked away with the feeling that pitt ruled and proved to the world that they were the best team. it was a bad game to watch and they came out on top of a game that could have easily went either way, with both teams playing poorly outside of two or three big plays in the game. you are expecting pitt worship, and they don't deserve it for how they played tonight. they deserve huge credit for staying alive and winning those games on the road to make it, no doubt. the game tonight, however, was hardly a display of championship football. you could just admit that and everyone would get on with congratulating you vs. trying to prove this point over and over. Lady.hawke
PLease drink a tall glass of water - or two - and go to sleep. This game was unsatifactory on many levels - the national anthem, the halftime show - but most of all the officiating. Unfortunately, your team's win is tainted due to the latter. Please be happy with your win. It seems that you are not really so because of your need to continually post here and plead your non-pleadable case to the most knowledgeable football fans. You would not need to do this if you felt true satisfaction in your win. You really should just go to bed; it's not going to get better. tonorator
here is your post menudo ... "well guys, i just want to say how happy i am with the pitt win. i've had a hard year and no matter how they did it, the steelers are world champs and nothing can take that away. i will join you in saying that this was a bad game to watch, and i wish the steelers would have won in a more convincing fashion. we got the sweet end of some calls, and they were huge in the win. i like to think of this win as the result of a great playoff run vs. just how they played tonight, which was not very good. i can't say they didn't deserve it, because seattle played poorly as well. what i can say is that i'm a happy homer, and i'm going to enjoy the win." that would probably have done it and saved us about 10 threads ... HOWEVER, beating the Bengals on the road, everone's champion Colts on the road, and the Broncos on the road, then winning the Super Bowl over the 13-3 Seattle Seahawks for the championship, is kind of a big deal. I've never been more excited about my team in my life. I said before, that I didn't care how they won, but I waned this champinoship. Whether you or the other want to admit it, what the Steelers just finished tonight was the most impropable thing EVER accomplished in the NFL. Yes, I am pretty excited about it......sue me. I just don't think the officiating changed the outcome.... perhaps I'm a fliping blind ass homer 1307735 who knows about the outcome ... the statement that should be said is that pitt benefitted from more than one bad call. that's all. why is that so hard to admit. seattle did not rise to the occasion on many levels tonight, so i agree with you that even if the calls went the other way, they would have still been dropping passes or throwing interceptions. no one knows if it would have ultimately changed the outcome ... The thrown interception was a direct result of a bad call.

steeler
The thrown interception was a direct result of a bad call.1307741 I understand that the interception wouldn't have happened without the called penalty, but to say it was a direct result is over the top I think. That penalty was certainly a big call, but Hass compounded the problem by throwing the pick. Had he taken care of the ball, they could have pulled to within 14-13... but instead you blame the officials for the pick.... I'm sorry, I just don't get that
Czarina
Menudo, you need to accept the fact that it's non Seahawks fans who are most vocal about their upset over this game. Not that I expect that to really sink in, since all you're going to do is post . You're going to have a helluva hangover tomorrow. You should go to bed. Did you guys watch the game? 1307748 Look, all of the questionable calls went against the Seahawks... but they didn't cost the Seahawks the game because they had opportunities after those calls to make plays and didn't. I don't think this is blind ass homerism because in the chat room I said immediately after the Palomalu INT was overturned in the INDY game that the Steelers couldn't blame the officials if they lost because there was a lot of football left. The PI in the endzone was in the first quarter... too early to affect the outcome of the game. The holding call after the Hawks caught the ball inside the 5 was followed up by Hass' INT... had he not forced the ball, the Hawks could have gotten into FG range and pulled to within 14-13... but he didn't make that play... he threw a pick. But whatever, the Steelers were picked to win the game by Tagliabue and the officals made sure it would happen.
