Azazello1313
haven't seen this mentioned yet, sorry if it has. basically, these two lady dogs skipped what i thought was a VERY cool ceremony before the game where all the super bowl MVPs came out. because the league didn't offer them enough money. unbelievable. I don't have a problem with them skipping the ceremony. They had their time and fame. Especially Montana. $1000 bucks wouldn't get me to the game either, if I was Joe. Bradshaw should have been there though. Edited February 6, 2006 by CaptainHook

Ursa Majoris
Everyone I've talked to who actually met Bradshaw back in the day said he was a total and complete ass. 1308627 He is the worst NFL announcer / "expert" / talking head of them all. A complete and utter incompetent, his half time highlight reel on Sundays is a pathetic disgrace.

They were in D-Town and were all over the place from what I am hearing. Why not show up? Do they really need the money? If they were not there, why not go? Is Montana that stuck up that ne needed $100,000? Edited February 6, 2006 by BigTen

Czarina
Meh. Montana was probably just tired of constantly being compared to Brady.

Bill Swerski
Montana's a weenie. He treated Steve Young like crap in SF and then threw the organization under the bus after he got cut. So, it doesn't really surprise me that he'd skip out on this because he wanted more money. What does surprise me is Bradshaw, especially since HIS team was playing. I'll have to wait to hear his excuse before passing judgement, but I don't like what I've heard thus far.
Ziachild007
I thought the ceremony was pretty cool. Franco pulling out the Terrible Towel was a nice touch for Steeler fans.

Squeegiebo
The Fed Ex commercial is the only one I can think of. . . 1308801 And it's really recent, isn't it? He'll step into the limelight if the price is right, or, I guess, if there's another important reason. So either the NFL didn't offer him the kind of money FedEx did, or he feels really strongly that FedEx offers a great service and wants everyone to know about it, but NFL and Superbowl history don't stir up that same kind of passion in him. CaptainHook
Perhaps he didn't want an all expense paid trip to Detroit in February. Perhaps he'd rather stay at home. Maybe that's worth a REPORTED $100,000 to him. Who cares?

And Joe Montana was running around the country doing those motivation seminars...I saw him last year. I'm not so surprised with Bradshaw. In years past he has been invited to the Steeler's games and he said he doesn't want to go back for ceremonies and such. He just isn't in to it.
