aqualung
Wilbon would have been nice with Kornhauser.
rattsass
Wilbon would have been nice with Kornhauser. 1312965 Anyone would have been nicer than Theisman. Let's face it though, there is nowhere to go but up with this thing so I will be cautiously optomistic. I'll pray that the director will have a mute control on Theisman's mic, and hope that Kornholer doesn't say "my little chickadee's" more than once a month. rattsass
I don't know how he's going to stay up that late. 1312996 Yeah, isn't he always saying he can't stay up past 9:00 or something. Dude is loopy enough already when he's awake, this could be interesting. Now maybe the viewers won't be the only ones dozing off on MNF. Randall
Wilbon would have been nice with Kornhauser. 1312965 He and Tony are great together. At least McGuire is gone. That has to be a plus.
AtomicCEO
There's still a chance Theisman might O.D. before next season.
montster
maybe i'm coming late to this, but where does al michaels go? is he headed to nbc with madden? i guess he doesn't HAVE to announce football next year, but it seems kinda weird that he wouldn't. DMD
How any corporate decision maker can come away with the notion that Theeesman is the best choice for the premier football game of the week is simply mind boggling. Absolutely without rational explanation. It is a sad day in the NFL.
Sgt. Ryan
Completely agree. They compare Tony k to Cossell. Im not sure about that one myself. Though I enjoy Michaels, Tirico is greatness.
Cordo
Have always thought Tirico does a great job with college football. I wasn't too impressed with the pro games I've heard him do the past couple of years, though that probably has more to do with Sterling Sharpe than anything else... blaw23
Theisman is such an idiot, but at least two good announcers maybe he won't be so bad. Without Mcguire being just as stupid as Theisman then it can only be better. I think Kornheiser will be great and Tirico is really good too! budlitebrad
Tirico, Theisman, and Kornheiser? Sounds like the hot tub at Wilbon's.

charty
I don't know, everytime I hear Tirico call a game, I think of "and I'm not gonna fall for a banana in the tailpipe".
Hugh B Tool
For cripes sake, Matt Millen would be twice as good as Joe (I love to hear my voice) Theisman. Where is LT when I need him?

Absolutely without rational explanation. It is a sad day in the NFL. 1313209 That's the biggest problem, IMO. The games were, how do I say, less than stellar this past year. They'd be better served spending resources on ensuring a good matchup, than worrying about the idiots in the booth. Minnesota? Green Bay? the J-E-T-S? Puhlease. AtomicCEO
Michaels is going with Madden to NBC and SNF. 1313345 Good. I think Michaels is a great announcer. I'm not sure why people put him down. Edited February 8, 2006 by AtomicCEO
Whiskey Pimp
Good. I think Michaels is a great announcer. I'm not sure why people put him down. 1313401 Agreed, but I think Michaels (or the producers) are taking his skills away a bit to give Madden more of a role. He seems to lob softball comments to Madden so the big guy can blabber about some crap too much.
rebdog
Wilbon would have been nice with Kornhauser. 1312965 Wilbon ain't that good. With Kornheiser he's not bad because Kornheiser tends to reign him in, but if you listen to him on his own he's all over the map and often no more insightful than the average fan. Menudo
Tirico Kornheiser Theisman How can they put two top notch guys like Tirico & Kornheiser in and then ruin it with Theisman. That is a shame. Maybe they could replace Theisman with the Bus....
Pope Flick
I think the potential of Tony ripping into any one of Theeesman's stupid comments might be reason enough to tune in. They should have brought back Fouts!
