Has a Mr. Irrelevant ever made it for any length of time in the pros or at all for that matter. :D

Well, this site has them listed, and I didn't do any research, but, during a quick scan, I don't remember anyone doing anything, which is a bit surprising, because a lot of Undrafted rookied go onto solid careers.

Marty Moore (U of Kentucky) was a Mr. Irrelevant in '94 and was a good special teams player/serviceable backup linebacker for the Pats for a while.

Thats what I thought also about all the undrafted thinking that there would one or two that wouldl have a decent career.

Wow, that is a strange name for a college. Of course my College team's mascot was the "Flying Dutchmen" :D

Probably the best right out of those available to choose from, I would say, although his play has gone down hill recently.

1999 Mr. Irrelevant, James Finn, has played in the league for 6 years with the Colts and Giants, and started 13 games for the Giants last year at FB, and 31 games in the last 3 years for them.

For the past I don't know how many years, Newport Beach (the city just to the south of me... basically an extension of my hometown) hosts "Irrelevant Week", where Mr. Irrelevant is treated like a virtual god and is paraded around town and gets to go to Disneyland, etc.

Here's a blurb on last year's Mr. Irrelevant and more info on the stuff that goes on.

He definitely had a non-descript year in '05. Hopefully his better play will return in '06.

Considering that there is only one 'Mr. Irrelevant' each year, but several dozen undrafted rooks that are signed, the odds favor the undrafted have a few more hidden gems.
